Closed to Elektra

Seth was used to taking care of people, and for once he was in a position where he didn't need to take care of someone. He assumed it was a good thing, as he didn't really have to worry about Elektra. She could take care of herself if she needed to.

At the same time, there was this lingering feeling of being... unneeded. Not that he wasn't cared for, but he was just being a pouty guy about it. It was hard going from killing vampires and protecting people back to the cushy village and assassin girlfriend with nerves of steel.

For Valentine's Day, what he did for Elektra was a subtly protective gesture. He got her a cross necklace, something to ward off the type of vampire that he was familiar with (even if there were vampires in the village that didn't adhere to the same laws). To him, a woman could never have enough cross necklaces to keep her safe.

He was still something of a klutz when it came to any sort of romance, being one of those yeah, hey, I got your something sort of guys. But he could try. Instead of actually giving it to her outright, he wrapped up the box and put it on the bathroom sink and laid her toothbrush on it.

Then he would just sit around on the couch until she found it. She would find it... eventually... right?
