Six piles of books and God knows how much coffee later and Mulder had determined one thing: the village was a time rip. It was the only thing that remotely made sense and, since that whole incident off Bermuda, he was pretty apt to believe it. Of course, unlike Bermuda, it seemed to be later than 1999 and, well, Scully was pretty much Scully.

Thomas read the sign, and smiled. Given what the person was looking for... he probably was the last thing this person was expected.

Dressed in very expensive clothing (as Thomas did these days), he wandered down to the lobby.

Mulder was between interviews. He was pretty pleased with the turnout--Harker had been fun to interview, after all, and he'd gleaned some info.

"Here for an interview?"

"Let's just say curious," Thomas smirked in reply.

"Curiosity works for me." He extended a hand. "Fox Mulder, FBI."

Thomas extended his hand and shook Mulder's briefly. Always safer that way. "Thomas Raith," he drawled.

"So, Thomas. Are you supernatural or just interested in my work?" Valid question, after all.

[priestofbowflex]

"Well, I'm curious why anyone wants to study supernatural beings, but I may have a slight vested interest, yes."

[agt_mulder]

Mulder shook his head. "I used to be assigned to a paranormal unit in the FBI. They shut us down, citing that there was no evidence the supernatural existed." He tapped his stack of interviews. "I'm gathering evidence to present back to them."

"They were looking in the wrong places then," Thomas grinned. "But I'm a vampire." Not exactly your typical vampire.

[agt_mulder]

"Really? Blood or energy?" Mulder had read up, after all, and while bloodsuckers were more common, the other kind still skulked around.

"Did your research turn up incubi?" Thomas asked.

Most of the time he was wary about letting people know his vampiric nature, but this village... didn't seem to care so much.

[agt_mulder]

"Incubi, yeah. My boss got attacked by a succubus, and I ran into some gender-bending incubi at an Amish compound." That was fun.

"Incubi? At an Amish compound?" Thomas was stunned. "What a waste of effort. What happened to good old fashioned running American's pornographic industry?"

[agt_mulder]

"You guys are into porn?" Mulder had probably seen them in action. "That makes perfect sense. Easy access to food supplies, casual, hard to get caught. No, the Amish incubi went into Boston to feed."

[priestofbowflex]

"Porn, horror movie industry, though that's not as well... developed." He probably had. Lara. But Thomas wasn't going to say anything.

"Oh god, Boston as well. Honestly, I can say that your incubi have got no sense of style."

[agt_mulder]

Mulder grinned. "Not like you. Those clothes must have cost a small fortune. So, porn. What's that like?"

Tangent, maybe, but he didn't get to interview porn stars that often.
