Oh joy, it's Tuesday (Open--tag police officer**)

Mar 04, 2008 00:58

I had another nightmare last night. It was a normal one--Uruk hai, Jack Harkness, Dr. Koscuisko, Marv and blindness. I haven't had a dream in which I was blind in quite a while so that made a change. All of these things are 'normal'. It's the nightmare from a few days ago that I can't let go of ( Read more... )

Kilrenko is crouched on the stoop of the store, smoking a cigarette. "Nasty cuts," she remarks as he walks up.

I have seen this woman before, though I've not spoken with her and do not even know her name. I make a wry smile.

"Yes. That's why I came here--to get some medicine for them."

"How'd you come by them?" They looked familiar ...

"It was the strangest thing." It truly was and I know where I got them and how, if the dream was any indicator. But how to say something so odd to someone I've just met?

"I woke up with them, actually. It was a few nights ago. I slept and dreamt and I had them when I woke. I was more than a little bit surprised." Perhaps if I don't act like I'm mad it will seem not so important.

Horatio was at his desk, contemplating going out for another of his patrols walks. He finished off his coffee and stood up to deposit the mug in the station's break room.

As I told the lady Moira, I bought the medicine and bandages for the four knife-claw marks on my hand but have not gone home to use it. Instead, I go to see the police who have dealt with the man Freddy Krueger before. I can bear his nightmares but I'll not bear it if he begins to kill children--again, apparently.

This place is familiar. Would that I could come here and have no problem to report.

Horatio walked out of the break room and spotted Faramir standing in the lobby of the station. The last time they had spoken was in regards to the grisly Wednesday murders. He hoped that nothing was wrong, but that was usually why people came by the station.

"Hello Faramir. How can I help you?"

It is Detective Caine, so someone I know if only a little bit. More importantly, someone who knows me and has been here long enough to believe these strange happenings.

"I had a dream, a nightmare, several nights ago. This is not unusual except for the content of the dream and the fact that I woke with these on my hand." I hold up my left hand with the slightly infected marks on the back. "They were made in the dream by a man with a strange glove on his hand. It had knives on it, set like claws."

I wonder if this is familiar.

"I washed and wrapped these but, as you can see, I needed something more. I went to get medicine for them and ended up speaking to a woman named Moira who told me that the dream man was Freddy Krueger and that the police here had dealt with him before." I'm worried. "She said that he kills children. Also that he can be brought from dreams and destroyed, if only temporarily--and that I should watch the movies he is in to learn how to do this, or at least know my enemy as best I can."
