The sky turned an awful, orange-red. As though possessed, the band continued to play as the audience screamed, having realized none of this was special effects. The song thundered on and Charles barely got out of the way of the support beam that was coming for him, rolling away and skidding to a stop ungraceful but alive next to Toki’s feet.

“What, are you gay or something?” Oscar growled in an unnecessarily accusatory tone. I suddenly understood why Nathan was so adamant about keeping the true nature of his love life a secret from his father. “You a fuckin' queer, Chuck?”
It didn't help that both Nathan and Pickles simultaneously started giggling and then tried (and poorly I might add) to cover it up.
Enabling

Charles wordlessly produced the Zippo from his pocket and clicked it open. Pickles answered with a grin like they were sharing some wicked secret, braced his hand on the bus hull directly over Charles's shoulder, and leaned in close to catch the flame.

The Importance of Being Toki
Nathan/Toki, NC-17
Sometimes he really did wish that women weren't so toxic, so that he could keep one around for longer than a few hours. It still wouldn't be his first choice, but it would be nicer than nothing. It also had the benefit of being acceptable to the others. Toki could justify having a girl in his bed overnight, but it was a lot harder to explain crawling under the covers with another man.

Nathan/Toki/Skwisgaar, NC-17
Usually it was Toki who got sloppy drunk and he could pawn the mess of a man-child off on Skwisgaar. Tonight both of them were ridiculously drunk and with the way Toki had been eyeing Skwisgaar through the week, it wasn't safe to leave them drunk and alone on the couch.
“Whats we doooos?” Toki swung from Nathan's arm like a toddler, making Skwisgaar laugh harder.
You might notice that a couple of these were already pimped last week; but they're all still low on comments compared to other submissions. Come on, guys! Where's that Valentine spirit? These authors and artists worked really hard, let's show them it wasn't for nothing.
If you've looked at/read some of these already but forgot to leave feedback, now's the time to do it. And if you haven't, why not give them a shot? Even if it's not your usual, you might find yourself pleasantly surprised. :)
