Eventually, Charles knew he should go back to teaching his classes. He should be responsible, he knew. But in a way, he felt like he was just settling back in to the village, finding himself here, with Jack and his friends; Elle. He was liked here, loved. After being alone for so long (apologies, Hank), it took some getting used to. He sat in front of the cafe with a cup of tea, deep in thought.
A few feet away, attempting to still remain unseen, Frankenstein's creation (and abomination) had, perhaps, the opposite problem: he wished so to be loved that he had confided in Aphrodite about it, only to regret it almost immediately: to rob someone of their free will disgusted him. Oh, but he was lonely. He sat, his back against a building in an alley, watching people pass by, a sliver of sunlight warming his feet.
