My own kind of Fourth of July [ota]

Jul 04, 2013 13:07

Elle wasn't exactly the patriotic sort, but she was a fan of explosions. Especially ones she made herself! So that's what she was doing. Sure, she'd be going to the fireworks and celebration later at the park later. But at the moment she was at the beach in a light blue bikini, although she wasn't likely to get into the water anytime soon. No way ( Read more... )

Adam liked the fireworks and barbecues as much as the next person, though not so much this holiday. After all--he'd fought for the British. Granted, he'd joined the American army at another point, been a Confederate officer, too, and back to the Americans, but. This day had started a war he'd been utterly humiliated in, thanks to a certain multiplying special.

Add in Angie's leaving, and he was not as much in a celebratory mood. Oh, if Peter wanted to go out later, he'd go with him and put on a happy face, but for today he was edging around the crowds, and finally decided on the beach. Not that it was likely to be uncrowded on the first hot and sunny day they'd had in a while, but it wasn't quite so bad.

He heard the explosions from a ways away and moved to see what was up, smiling a little when he saw Elle.

"Celebrating, sweetheart?"

She turned her head to look when she heard the familiar voice, beaming at him and moving to hug him, "Adam!"

It had been forever since she'd last seen him. Or at least it felt like it.

She looked up at him, still grinning, "I was, yeah. Would have done it to random passerbys instead of logs, but then people'd get all pissy."

He hugged her back, dropping a kiss on her forehead.

"They do tend to do that, yes. Obviously, they have no idea how much fun it could be."

Peter would be appalled, really.

Peter was a party pooper.

"Don't suppose you'll let me shock you for old times sake?" she asked, bouncing a bit with the hopes he'd say yes.

Hermione had decided to spend the morning reading on the beach. She had dressed lightly today, a pretty dress, but was not quite confident enough to allow herself to dress in anything a little more revealing. Like the blonde she could see just a little further down the beach. Not too far, but far enough that they were not invading each other's space.

But then a bang grabbed her attention and her head lifted quickly in the direction the sound came from. When she saw what it must be, though unsure how it happened, her eyes automatically fell to the other woman. It would not surprise her really if she were the reason given such things were not new to her.

Elle watched the exploding log with glee, then held up both hands to let out an even large blast to hit a large boulder with then exploded into pieces. She didn't really seem to care if she was bothering anyone else on the beach. Sociopaths weren't exactly considerate.

Hermione's eyebrows lifted slightly as she saw another log explode and this time it was obvious how it had happened. She still didn't say anything, not just yet. She was far too curious as to just how this woman seemed able to do it. Did she had magic? She wouldn't mind hat. She quite liked meeting people similar to her in that way.

Elle kept going, shooting more logs and rocks, eventually noting she had an audience she turned to look at the other woman. Well, she didn't look pissed, so that was good. Elle wasn't so good with civil disagreements.

"Hi!"

Frank did like to see things blow up. He had followed the sound to find his little Elle being the one blowing things up. How fun. Even though he rarely went out during the day, but he was very glad he did. He smirked, arms crossed over his corseted chest and watched. "Bravo," he declared when another bit of nature went up in smoke.

She turned to look, a ball of electricity ready and waiting for another explosion in her hand. Elle smiled when she saw it was Frank, "Thanks! Thought I'd celebrate the Fourth of July in my own way."

"By all means," he purred. "Don't let me stop you." He waved toward her targets. "I'll watch."

"Okay!"

Now that she had an audience, Elle was determined to make her next blast impressive. Turning back around to face the debris, she focused on a large boulder, both hands building with electricity, glowing blue and deadly.

Then she let loose, bolts shooting from both hands sending the large rock up into a million tiny pieces.

Shego wasn't much of one to go to parties or festivals. Although fireworks were always interesting, they were more interesting when there was a miss fire...or two that went a little close to the crowds.

She was walking along the beach in her black bikini to find a nice place to relax when she heard the sweet sound of things exploding. Curious she walks towards the sound. She spots a blonde woman blowing up rocks and trees with energy beams from her hand.

She applauded at the latest log that exploded from her efforts. "Good shot."

Elle turned at the clapping and the voice, smiling when she spotted the woman, "Thanks. I've had a lot of practice... with moving targets too."

Lots and lots of moving targets.

Shego smiles at that, "Moving targets are always more fun."

Out of the three moving targets Shego consistently has to aim at, that pesky cheerleader was the most annoying.

She nodded, "If only I had more of those here... haven't had anyone to shoot at. Or that I'm allowed to." There were people here that could stop her and that would get pissy if she tried. Like her own annoying cheerleader, Claire.
