I need a drink... and a smoke [ota]

Lisbeth wasn't dealing well with being injured and stuck in an unfamiliar place. And she had no idea what her fate would be when she returned home. Was she dead? Would her half-brother find her and make sure she was? Would the authorities find her?

Too many potential outcomes and none of them preferable. So she chose to occupy herself with something else instead. Nothing she could do about it here, anyway.

She took a drag of her cigarette, as she flipped open the Theoretical Physics textbook she'd checked out from the library, sitting at her booth seat in a dark corner of In&Out, a glass of beer already getting warm next to her. She wasn't sure which side of the club she'd entered, nor did she care. She was here to distract herself, listen to the music, and read. Maybe later she'd try to chat someone up for casual sex, but at the moment she was just reading silently. Her hair was done up in a faux-hawk, successfully hiding the shaved patch of hair at the back of her hair and the stitches still in her head, the dragon tattoo on her back poking out behind her tank top. Her shoulder was doing better and she wasn't limping near as badly, although she was still not fully healed. But she was making an admirable show of being fine.

in & out, lisbeth salander
