Kyla had entered just as Leoben had cried out. She placed the food down on the closest table top, reached for her side arm, and appeared with her gun pointed at the threshold of his bedroom. She sheathed her sidearm with a soft exhale and entered the room with an unhappy expression. "Did you pull the stitches?"

He looked up at her entrance, seeing the gun that she then put away. He shook his head, pain clear on his face.

Recovery was frustrating for Kyla. It always had been. She couldn't fix the pain or speed up the healing. It wasn't like she could go and kill something to make things better. It was difficult to be so out of control and it was harder for her when Leoben was so clearly in pain. She tried not to let the worry show. Instead, she opted for a stern look. "You keep it up and you'll end up back in the clinic."

He looked sheepish, after swallowing his pills, "Sorry." Leoben turned to look at her, "I've... never been injured before. I don't like it."

Leoben just wanted to be better. Like in resurrection. Get hurt, resurrect in a brand new healthy body. This was awful. But it was perhaps a part of life he'd have to learn to accept.
