Victoria headed down to the hotel lobby, in search of her new team. A team of all women snipers and ranged fighters? Not bad. And a goddess in the group as well. She had very high hopes and expectations for this lot

Kyla was nervous - more nervous than she'd like to admit. She was definitely the youngest out of the group which meant there was more pressure on her to perform well. Not to mention there was a woman here who, from what she gathered, was a goddess or something - she didn't really know what that meant and she'd have to look it up - but Kyla understood that the woman was powerful just by looking at her. Kyla got the feeling that if she said the wrong thing to Artemis, she'd be in trouble.
She glanced over at Ginger and Ripper. The two dogs can tagged along quietly and now kept a good distance as the others trained. They had been to many training sessions in the past and Kyla knew they would be looking forward to their turn. She'd have to bring them back out later for some of her own drills.
Kyla looked from the dogs to Victoria and nodded. "I'll go next." Better to go now than after everyone.
She set her Barret M99 to the ground and looked through the scope. Both Victoria's shot and Kate's were impressive. If Mark had been here, he'd have laughed at her for being nervous. She was good and he'd say so, but she'd remind him she was young.
Finding an empty target that still had its head, Kyla took aim. Headshots were necessary for her enemies to go down. She took a breath, then exhaled and shot. The bullet hit above the eyes in the forehead which was where the cpu was in a Terminator.

So the unit was competent with their weapons - that was very pleasing. Not that Artemis would have been exceptionally annoyed with anyone who needed a bit of help, but it was nice to see that the over all skill level was starting out high.
The goddess wordlessly stepped forward after Kyla's "kill" was confirmed, and called her quiver and silver bow to her from the air. After a moment of choosing her victim and aiming, Artemis let loose an arrow. Through the trees, the sun glinted off the shaft sticking out of the dummy's face.
Victoria was quite pleased it seemed everyone on her team was quite competent.
"Alright. How about we go again, but do a timed run this time? See who can 'down' all 10 of the targets in the fastest time?" she pulled out a stopwatch with a smile.
Kate was all for that. She loved competition but then again most people who where excellent shots did.
"Sounds good to me." She reloaded the rifle and took aim. Normally sniper shots were all about patience and finding the best shot but out in the real world when you were as much of a target as your victim you had to do fast and clean.
Instead of laying on the ground, Kate held the rifle up to her shoulder and fired in rapid succession before having to reload again. Six were head shots, one abdomen, two in the heart and the last one was in the leg where an artery would be.
Kyla had quietly inhaled a breath when they mentioned a competition. It wasn't exactly her first, but this seemed a little different. This was like training camp all over again when she had to prove to her dad - to John Connor - that she was the best so that she could be put on his security detail.
Kyla chose to lay back on the ground. The Barret M99 was a single-shot rifle which meant she'd have to reload each bullet between shots. She didn't want to pick any other gun for the convenience - this was her gun.
She shot, reloaded, cocked, and fired with an ease of motion that came with using the gun a lot. She got six head shots like Kate, one shot through the cheek, and two in the neck. Kyla's time was slower than Kate's.
A Grecian never could resist a competition. Her arrows against the speed of the modern firearms would be interesting.
Because she was The Huntress, Artemis favored accuracy over speed though her centuries of built up skill and power gave her movements fluidity. Each of the ten shots to the dummies hit roughly the same spot, one after the other.
[I don't like to automatically assume my pup is better than anyone elses in terms of skill in situations like this just because she's a goddess; a gun could very well be faster than an arrow with a goddess behind it. Greek gods have been bested by mortals before. Victoria-mun can decide Arty's time.]
It was close, no doubt about that. But it turned out about how she'd expected. Being a goddess accounted for a lot, but the modern weaponry did make it a strong competition.
She nodded in approval, looking down at her stop watch, "All very impressive. I can say I'm glad to have all of you on my team. Artemis had you two beat by only a couple seconds."
"It's nice not to be the only girl on the team." She nodded to Kate with a reserved smile. The phrase itself was something she had heard the older Resistance members say, but she didn't know the origin.
Artemis was smiling widely. "I am happy to be a part of this team," she said with honesty. It seemed as though they would bond closely; the goddess did miss having women she had things in common with about.
"I am very pleased that McClane put us on a team together as well. As much as I don't wish ill will on the town, I am much looking forward to working with you ladies in the field."
"At least that will be some excitement here." Not that she was wishing bad things either. Kate had been spoiled by arriving during a Necromorph attack.
Kyla had the same sentiment which she expressed in a nod. It felt nice to be back on a team again, but she felt like she might seem over sentimental if she voiced that to the group, so she just nodded and stood there. She knew she should have said something, but after having hesitated, she felt her moment to do so without being awkward had passed.

"Four for four," she said, and grinned.

"Girl power." She smirked when she said it and set the rifle down next to the weapons bag.
