After the previous day's disastrous reunion with his mother, Draco was feeling a lot like a dirty rag in the gutter. However, there was nothing like meddling (well, not technically meddling since he had permission from Meg) in other people's lives to provide a way to ignore the shit storm in your own. That was what Draco believed and so he was ( Read more... )

Ahhh, perhaps some...variety was in order. Draco raised his arm at the humanoid turtle to flag him down. "Seat's free over here."

[Couldn't remember if these two have met or not, and going back through old threads didn't bring anything up.]

"Probably not, but I don't see anyone else volunteering a spot at their table," Draco pointed out. "I think I've seen you around. What's your name?"

Draco was thinking the same thing, but he was teased enough in his youth about his own name so he didn't comment on it.

"Draco Malfoy. The chair isn't going to bite, you know," he said. "And I only bite when I'm paid to."

"I'm roping unsuspecting males into personal interviews," Draco said with a grin. "A lady friend of mine agreed to let me find her some suitors. For now, I'm compiling profiles for her to choose from, and whoever she chooses will go on a date with her."

Draco was delighted with the musical reference. "Yes, exactly. I'm not a professional, but I like to think I can handle the job."

"Meg is a little awkward at times, to be honest," Draco said. "So that's not a problem."

"As I said before, variety is good," Draco said, making note of the names of Raphael's brothers and where they worked. "Sort of your typical sweet French girl from the late 1800s, though she does have a good work ethic. She owns and teaches at the Dance Studio, and organizes everything for the ballet shows at the Opera House."

Draco made a note of that too. "You may be right," he said, thinking it over. Probably better if I'm not pitting brothers against each other too, yes?"

"We'll just make Leo the lucky one then," Draco said with a grin. "If you could give me his contact information that would be most helpful. How stubborn do you think he'll be?"
