I've never seen so many stars before. The entire night sky was simply a canvas was white lights staring down at me. The desert has very little but scenery going for it.

We spend our days training. We don't know when we're crossing the border we just know it's going to happen. They say the more you sweat in training the less you bleed in battle. We'll see. I have no lack of faith that we're well trained. There is nothing to fear from what we can see because I know we can beat the visible. It's our invisible foes that I'm worried about. How can you fight something you can't see?

Being Sunday they have us the day off so that those who go to church can go, the rest of us relax. Some watch movies, some clean weapons, I read a book until I finished it then I thought I would see what was going on in the world wide web. I get e-mails from family almost daily but they seem so prepackaged with words of support and love. It's like they read a book on what I'm supposed to want to hear and they're rehashing it for me. I don't even know what I want to hear. Thanks just the same though.

I wish I could show you the sunsets and the stars because the desert really has little more.
