I really really need new music to listen to. Any recs? Leave them in the comments. I'm open to whatever. Right now I'm listening to this band called 'My Favorite Highway'. It's odd because they're not *good*... but they're not *bad* either. Oh well, something to listen to while I'm bored right? lol.
I was looking through some super old journal entries (well no, I lie, last year) and found a meme that I'd like to update, regarding icon making.
So if you're interested in seeing my progression from 2006-2009 in the area of icon making... (image heavy!)
2006
On first inspection, I did cover quite a few fandoms in 2006, lol. But when you look closer you realize just how shitty they all are, haha. But everyone has to start somewhere. I mean, you learn from your mistakes... at least I think so. Needless to say I rarely icon any of the CSIs anymore these days. And I need to start iconing the Office again ASAP. :(
2007
Slowly but surely getting a little better. Animated icons are starting to come in (truthfully, I love this style of animated icons way more than what I'm doing now, hmmm lol). I'm using more fitting text (at least I hope so). The coloring is still kind of obnoxious. Picking up more fandoms throughout the year too I noticed..
2008
Once again, getting better a little more and more with every post. Some icons are always gonna suck in every batch, that's just the way it goes lol. For the most part though I think I improved the most this year. :)
2009
I think I'm finally starting to grasp the whole making-text-look-decent-on-icons thing. Only took me 3 years!! lol. Hopefully I'll continue to learn more stuff and keep being awesome *sarcasm*. :)
