Several things worth mentioning here, I feel.  First off, Pirates 3 was fan-freaking-tastic.  The opening scene makes you wonder if it will be good or not, but when you keep watching, everything's fine.  The acting was very, very good and even though some parts were a little odd, you kind of have to suspend your disbelief for a while and just get ( Read more... )

It's always good to be back in the place where everyone knows you. I can't go anywhere in this town without seeing at least one person I know, either from high school or church or something. I like that. It's annoying for those days where you just don't feel like seeing anyone, but most of the time it's a good feeling.

I know that feeling. Most of the time, when I'm driving around, I'm always suspiciously peeking around to see if I'm near anyone that I know. Not many people in this county are my friends, and the majority of them are people I'd actually like to avoid. I'm finding that the people I'm hanging out with the most lately are either my sister's friends or my parents' friends. Both feel strange, but they're amazing people.

My brother graduates from high school on June 18th. It's going to be so weird going back three years after I left and watching him get his diploma. He'll probably get fifty bajillion awards, and I'm really hoping he gets the Brian Norquist Memorial Drama Award, because that was the one that I won when I graduated, and it means our names will be in the program for future AHS productions together for a while.

My sister had her Senior Awards dinner last night, and apparently won a bunch of awards (I'm aware of at least 5). It is weird talking to my old teachers, but honestly, I'm flattered that they still remember me!
