betaplay - Julian Kendall Aberdeen [Kyle Gallner]
(Play - from sport. Beta - he's not the alpha male but he's up there.)
Brianna's older brother. Sixteen, and enough of a skux...er, popular enough with the ladies (note to self: Julian would never use the word skux, it's a New Zealand thing) and good enough at whatever sport he plays (not football oddly, not basketball - soccer?) to be one of the popular guys at highschool. (Like, he's not the quarterback equivalent, but he's the playmaker.) He's involved in track and field athletics as well, so he keeps fit, he's one of the fairly hot guys. Slightly above average as far as school goes, not because he's gifted but because he works hard at it, and the same work ethic applies to sports. Jules (his friends call him that) is very much a team player, always thinking of what's best for the team. But he tends to see his team and only his team, or group of friends - other cliques are kind of nonexistent unless he gets thrown with someone by teachers or something. Within his clique (and I've totally only started using this word because of High School Musical), he's a good listener, the guy everyone comes to with their problems if they just need someone to listen. (Unless it's about Brianna, of course...)
He's the kind of older brother who can't say no to his little sister - he brought Brianna to parties and to his scene not because he wanted to, but because she whined and whined, and because this meant he could still go to parties and shit when he was meant to be babysitting. (Ah, moments of self-centredness...) He's still very protective of her though - he still wants her to be his innocent baby sister, and he glares when guys talk about her being hot or something, discussion of her...exploits gets a punch in the face.
Obviously he's not adverse to getting some of his own. He plays bass guitar and thinks Dairine is hot, so he plays bass in her and Brendan and Johnny's band. (Which I know makes the band almost completely dominated by mine. -.-) Before the band, he vaguely knew Brendan as a nerd through friends' friends...' friends. Brendan still thinks he's a bit of a git but concedes that Dai is rubbish at multitasking and they really do need a bass player, because accordion? seriously??
