Tina is, in fact a total Blue. (Oh god, I'm dropping Wheel of Time references and I don't even read it. (Oh god, she reads it.) What I mean is, she strives for a cause.) She has this thing about trying to make the world better for EVERYONE, and attempts this through charity. Hence a successful year as Head of the Charities Committee and the organizer for WGC's World Vision 40 Hour Famine campaign. She volunteers at Woman's Refuge, and is trying to make all her friends and family volunteer too (she has only succeeded with KT, who volunteers at the Ronald McDonald House; Josh is considering the SPCA; Erin donates some busking money to World Vision). She prefers people donate to charity or buy a goat for some starving kids in Africa rather than give her birthday or Christmas presents. (The two are on the same day. She has, in the past, been bought a pair of chickens for some starving kids in Africa, and been told that one was for her birthday and one was for Christmas. She was unimpressed, but not ungrateful.)
So now that she's leaving college, where she was brilliant at organizing fundraisers and making people participate in them, she has little idea what she's doing. The only thing is, she's not enrolled at any university (having procrastinated this past the due dates). So she might go overseas and, I quote, "do some real work somewhere". Me thinks she knows not of which she speaks. Sure, she's all noble and stuff, but she still likes her sushi and her manicures and her hardcover books and going out every Friday night. I am unconvinced she would be cut out for actually volunteering.
