Well..for starters that is the score of tonight's game, DUKE vs. Valpo..my DUKIES won again making them 10-0!! I ♥ JJ Redick!! I am going to be sad when I can't watch him play anymore with DUKE..he is a senior this year. But hopefully he will get drafted into a big name NBA team and then I will still get to see him.
Okay..lol..that was a random opening..wouldn't you say? So yesterday (I ended up not going to Greenville after all..even though I wanted to :-( ) I got pretty much all of my shopping done. At least all of the shopping that this girl is going to be able to do unless the money fairy pays her a visit. I was going through the store yesterday..spending a lot of time on my cell phone calling my sister--who was in the same store as I was, haha--and my mom who was at home and then went shopping. And as I was shopping I thought I was adding up the prices..and thought I had only spent somewhere around 50ish dollars. Well...I get up to the register and bring out sixty of the eighty dollars I had, hoping that would be enough. I almost had a heart attack when the total flashed up on the display. It was 112 and some change. There was a man waiting in line behind me. I started shaking and my mouth probably even dropped open. Thank goodness I had enough in my checking account to cover the difference. But my mom is going to kill me if she finds out..lol. But hey..she always gets mad when we spend 'too much on her'. But she spends a lot more on me than I do on her. And the money I spent yesterday didn't all go on things for her..some went towards my sister. And she will just have to get over it! :-) In the words of my sister this Christmas has been 'so unorthodox'. Last Sunday after we finished eating at Andy*s (love them) my sis and I went to Wally World and started pointing things out that we could get each other. So we pretty much know what one got the other. And I also pointed things out in a catalog that my mom could get me. (And I hope she got me the ring and necklace I circled!!) So its like..okay so I know some of the things I'm getting..so now I just want to be able to use or wear them now! But I have to wait. It is only six days until Christmas though!! We have never waited so long to do Christmas shopping..and now the Christmas bear I want this year is not in Williamston..so hopefully my mom will be able to find it somewhere else. See I have this collection of Christmas bears..and last year I didn't really point one out that I wanted, but my mom got me a little bear anyway, but not the same type. But this year its sold out and I'll be a little disappointed if my mom just decides not to get it. Because I mean, there are other places to look...and if it is sold out everywhere then I am just SOL. It was a cute one though, a different shade of brown, and it had a red dress on it!! LOL And I wanted it! :-( Oh well... So yesterday I wrapped gifts until I was tired of wrapping. LOL I finished though. The past couple of days I haven't been feeling that great. Its because its a 'certain time'. And I'm not going into anymore detail then that because anyone over the age of 12 should know what I'm talking about..lol.
So it is now 17 days--17 days :\--until I go to ECU. Thank goodness that this 'certain time' will be over by then because I am a very emotional person when it is that time and I would be a hopeless cause. I am already going to be scared, nervous, and trying not to cry. I am finally going to have to leave my safety net of my little home in Windsor and fend for myself. And there are things that I am going to have to get used to. I mean I am ready for a break from my home..and it is going to be nice not to have someone telling me what to do and when to do it. But its going to be sad too. Hopefully I will get the dorm that I want--Cotten--and have a great roommate. Preferably one that is also starting new in January. Then we can help each other out.
Well, it is 2 in the morning and I am going to go play some games before I have to get off of here. Tomorrow I think we are going to ride over to Gates Co. and check out all of the decorations that my friend was telling me about. So I guess I will say good night.
