HASA asking for contributions.

I know people here who have used HASA for years as one of the major Tolkien sites and others who do not like it very much. I've always posted most of my Tolkien work there. I like it for its ease of posting, centrality within the fandom, and its lack of censorship or silly over-done warning systems. It had, when I came around the fandom, a huge reputation, which mattered to me as an older professional woman. It supposedly held the quality work. That's all relative and a matter of opinion, of course. It's got bad fics like every place else and has had its share of kerfuffles and wank over the years.

One wonders how things like LOTRfanfiction occur? Obviously, not entirely, but partly because people do not respond when asked for small contributions. If everyone who uses HASA sent in tiny occasional contributions this would never be an issue. I am as poor as a church mouse and I have contributed in the past, not much or often, but now and again. Guess I should send something now although I am desperately broke. I would not want to lose the history and resource housed there.
