Berries? Molly has berries, as gathering berries is both a tasty and perhaps mildly seductive pasttime, when done correctly. Of course, between all the men she knows (we're looking at Curio), surely she's been subsisting on more than just berries... but she's found a lovely patch of early strawberries.

She waves when she sees him.

He smiles back and heads over, on the grounds that she probably knows more about food-gathering than he does. "Dear child, how are you?"

"Well enough, sir, well indeed. And you?" Her fingers are a bit stained, but not her lips yet, with suggest that at present more berries are going into her basket than into her mouth.

A slight laugh. "I've realised a troubling thing."

"Oh, aye? What?"

"I really don't know how to fend for myself."

"Oh, sir." She's half smiling, but trying not to now. "Would ye like a berry."

"I would be very grateful."

[youngandhealthy]

She gets up and offers the basket. "Do ye need to sit, sir?" quieter. Because cute as he is... starving isn't funny, as Molly too well knows.

"No, no, certainly not. I had my last meal yesterday evening. I'm by no means in extremis."

"Well, eat then."

"Thank you."

She sits back down in the berry patch. "There's not much to find, yet. Too early. But there's meat, for those who hunt."

"I'm afraid I have never done so."

[youngandhealthy]

"Nay, Curio's not taught me yet. But he hunts, well enough, as do many others here."

He nods. "And you think their generosity will be extended when word of the famine sets in?"
