- - - “Probably.” Jaejoong whispered to the phone, inhaling the scent of cocoa in his hands. He was in the district coffee shop, a daily habit. Since they were not that famous unlike 8 years ago, he can now freely roam the streets without people noticing that he was a former member of Dong Bang Shin Ki. Or just him not caring that he was still noticed.
“Jaejoong-ah...you can't expect to wait forever right? I mean look at me and Junsu, we're happy now. Look at Changmin, he's happy with his wife and kids. But look at you, you're still...” The voice in the other line wavered, as if unsure if he was permitted to finish his words.
Jaejoong breathed a sigh and sipped a little of his cocoa before picking up his cellphone again to talk. “Chun, I appreciate all of this concern, but really I don't need it. I'm perfectly happy with my life the way it is now.”
A long pause before Yoochun started talking. “You don't sound happy.”
“And why would I sound happy? You're interrupting me in the middle of my time for peace. I'm in a coffee shop and in a coffee shop, you don't go around arguing with your best friend on the phone, you relax and sip on your coffee while you look at the passer-bys!” Jaejoong said in one breath. He was getting irritated and you wouldn't like Jaejoong when he's irritated and about to be mad, because there is only one person that can calm him and that person, wasn't with him now.
“Jaejoong, chill okay?” Yoochun sighed and crunches were heard, looks like he was eating. “I'm just informing you that you can't live your life like this. You can't avoid him forever. Especially if he's in the country right now, and who knows, you might bump each other in the streets, or he could be the one beside you now.”
Jaejoong looked at his side warily and smiled, for the first time this morning. “Chun, thanks but no thanks. I think I can take care of myself if ever I manage to see him. I won't go all oggly 'YUNHO-YAH, I MISS YOU SO MUCH, GIVE ME A HUG AND KISS', would I?”
Yoochun's beaming laugh and Junsu's eu-kyang-kyang was heard on the other line. “Btw Jae, you're on loud speaker, so Su can also hear you. You know we just want you happy right? We love you, we really do.”
“And I love you guys too. Now please stop being so wary of my love life and start being wary of yours. I don't need Yunho to be happy.”
“You sure don't.” Yoochun said, sarcasm obvious in his words. “Just call us if anything, okay? Bye!"
Jaejoong didn't manage to say goodbye. His eyes were in tears as he placed his cellphone on the table in front of him.
He hasn’t seen Yunho for 8 years now, since they separated, and truth was, he missed Yunho so much. He got to see Changmin, but Yunho went to Europe, for relaxation purposes or something, Changmin forgot to tell him the specifics. He tried to contact Yunho, but it never rang, and so Jaejoong concluded that the latter might have changed his number.
'Yunho's back.' was the first thing Jaejoong heard when he answered Yoochun's call minutes ago. In that two words, for him, the world stopped. It's as if he wanted to just rush and look for Yunho or if he wanted Yunho to find him.
I won't see him anyways. Jaejoong concluded and continued sipping his cocoa.
Little did he know.

Yunho was out on the streets; he just arrived in Korea and after hailing a cab to his apartment to unload his baggages and cargo, he decided that he needed fresh air. Hell, he missed Korea. Or was it only Korea that he missed?
Taking in the scenery around him, green leafy trees, tall and suave buildings and the swerving cars honking their brains out, he knew that this was Korea's way of welcoming him back. 8 years in Europe was a breather. Yes, he can now speak the language fluently, cook some European specialties even but his heart has always remained in Korea.
He decided to visit the Seoul Central Park as he thought back to what happened at the airport.
He told no one of his arrival, not even Changmin who he spoke to every now and then, not even YooSu who called him twice a week just to ask him to open up his skype and not even Jaejoong who he hasn't talked to for 8 years now. He left his family in Europe since they didn’t want to go home yet, though they approved of him taking an early flight back to his homeland.
After taking his baggages and exiting the airport, he walked over to the bench to just rest for a while when he heard a shout.
“Yunho hyung!!!” Junsu called and Yunho turned around to find Junsu running towards him, Yoochun and Changmin behind the running man. “I missed you so much so much so much!” Junsu began to sob.
Yunho chuckled as he lightly patted his dongsaeng's back. “How can you miss me so fast? We just talked last night.”
“But hyung, I haven't seen you for...” Junsu pulled back and counted the years with his fingers. “7 years or 8? Yah chunnie, help me here.”
Yoochun smiled and hugged Yunho swiftly, before putting his arm around Junsu. “It's 8 years, babe.”
“8 YEARS?! THAT LONG?!!” Junsu shouted, eyes enlarging. “How was Jaejoong able to survive-”
Changmin put his hand on Junsu's mouth and pushed him back after seeing the expression of his hyung change when a certain name was mentioned. “Hyung! Nevermind him, he hasn’t eaten breakfast yet. Speaking of breakfast makes me hungry. Anyway, I'm glad you're back!” Changmin said and hugged Yunho, pulling away after a second.
Yunho hugged back and patted his dongsaeng’s head. After they both pulled away, the four just stared at each other, with smiles on their faces. Minutes of silence passed and no one dared to say a word.
Yoochun, sensing the awkward atmosphere that was brought by his one and only, tried to change the topic. “So how was Europe, hyung?”
“Okay.” Yunho nodded.
“Just okay?” Junsu asked, finally having the courage to speak.
Yunho smiled sadly. “It's different there, the culture and the people. I like it more here in Korea.”
“I know why.” Junsu whispered, just for Yoochun to hear and Yoochun can't help but nod and encircle his arms around the younger boy.
“Aish, that two lovebirds.” Changmin shook his head and turned to his hyung. “Look at them hyung, they're so mushy. It reminds me of you and Jaejoong.”
Yunho's smile became a frown and Changmin quickly covered his mouth after he noticed his slip-up.
“I’m-“
“Ha ha.” Yunho laughed. “No need to apologize, Min. We're long over.”
“Are you really?” Su questioned, putting his head on Yoochun's left shoulder.
Yunho just shrugged. I wish I could answer your question, Su. But I don't think I'll meet him again.
Little did he know.

Two old friends meet again, wearing older faces, talk about the places they've been.
Jaejoong was in the park, walking and just inhaling the breeze. He was still thinking of his conversation with Yoochun. He was happy, wasn’t he? Then why didn’t he feel happy, why didn’t he want to smile? He had his head hung low as he strolled slowly kicking the rocks his feet came in contact with.
Yunho on the other hand found his way to the park. He walked as he thought about the reason on why he returned back to Korea. He wanted to find Jaejoong and fix things with him, but he didn’t know what his first step should be.
Two people, separated by personal wants and desires, meet again thanks to this little thing called 'fate'.
Jaejoong was walking with his cocoa in hand when he bumped onto someone and the cocoa spilled on the persons' shirt. Jaejoong was startled and struggled to wipe the cocoa off the other. “I am so sorry, I wasn't thinking and I was-”
“Jaejoongie?”
Jaejoong heard a familiar voice and right then and there he knew that he was only left with two choices; it was either he ran and avoided him forever or he stayed and talked to him. He chose the latter. “Yunho-yah...”
Yunho knew that his next move would bring awkwardness. But at that time when he saw the guy in front of him, he knew that he needed to have his arms around him. “Ahhhh jaejoongie!” Jaejoong felt himself being lifted off the ground and go around in circles. Yunho was hugging him and spinning him around.
He tried to hug back but the intensity of the spin had him dizzy. “Yah Yunho, put me down!”
Yunho looked at Jaejoong, wondering why he wasn't that happy and put him down as he was told. Once he was down, the only thing that both of them could do was look at each other.
Yunho noticed that Jaejoong had marks under his eyes, he wondered if he slept properly at night. He lost weight but he was still beautiful. Yunho knew that even when they grow past the age of 60, he will still see Jaejoong as the most beautiful being that ever walked on land…and on his heart.
Jaejoong noticed how Yunho had a more mature face, much older, but still handsome. Even at the age of 34, Yunho was still shining, still shining on everyone and on his heart like never before.
They walked over to the bench, both not saying anything, both aware of the others' presence. Once they were seated, Yunho started talking. “I m-how are you?”
“The same.” Even though Yoochun, Junsu and Changmin wouldn't say the same for him. “You? How's europe?”
“Good. I traveled to Europe with my family. We went to Paris, remember the Eiffel tower?” Yunho smiled. “I had lots of wonderful memories in Paris. It was nostalgic.” I remembered how you always held onto my hand, afraid to get lost, during our stay there. I remembered how you were in awe about everything you saw. I remembered you.
Jaejoong was out of words, and so he could only say what first came onto his mind. “Good.”

Two old sweethearts fell apart, somewhere along the globe, how are they to know, someday they'd meet again, and have a need for more than reminiscing.
“How's the others?' Yunho asks as they left the coffee shop. It was already dark and they hadn't noticed the time come by so fast. “Yoochun and Junsu?”
“Still going strong.” Jaejoong murmurs, looking at the stars, not knowing what the illumination of the moon does to his unearthly face - Yunho just gawks.
“Well, you still look wonderful.” Yunho praises, looking straight into Jaejoong's face.
Jaejoong chuckles a bit before turning to the right. He looks at the ground below him, and within a second, his eyelids grew wider, as if remembering something interesting. “Remember this sidewalk?”
Yunho looks around and remembers instantly. He laughs. “You still remember? It was a long time ago.”
Jaejoong nods and continues walking. “Of course I still do. We walked around here, looking at the food the people were eating and wished we had something to eat too. That was before our SME trainee days right? It seems like it's just yesterday when the truth is,” Jaejoong sighs. “..it's been ages.”
“But that never changed, right? We're still Yunho and Jaejoong?” Yunho convinces as he walks in front of Jaejoong and blocks his way.
“Yes. That never changed.” Jaejoong forced a smile. The feeling never changed as well.
An awkward silence passes and Yunho felt the need to open-up the topic they were both so keen on avoiding. “Tell me, do you still have feelings for me?”
Jaejoong stood there wide-eyed, not expecting the sudden straight-forwardness of the man in front of him. He had expected this question to come, but he wouldn't have expected it to come so soon.Especially not now, when he was still recovering from Yunho being back..in Korea and in his life.
“Jaejoong?” Yunho cupped Jaejoong's face as if noticing that the other wasn't paying attention on him. “Did you hear what I asked?”
“I did.” Jaejoong answers, as he starts walking again, leaving Yunho behind.
Yunho follows, a smile on his face. “So, what's the answer?”
Jaejoong just shrugs, the wind blowing his hair giving off a perfect vibrant view. “It's for me to know.”
“What kind of an answer is that?” Yunho asks, his eyebrows meeting each other as he struggled to force Jaejoong to answer him.
Jaejoong just laughs. Never had he felt this happy in years. Just the company of Yunho made his heart warm, made his body light, made his soul in bliss. They started walking in slience, just feeling the moment of the two of them walking side by side. They continued walking in peace until-
“Jaeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.” Yunho pleads.
“What?” Jae answers as they reached his home. He didn't even notice he was walking back to his house though he was aware that Yunho was following him. Now Yunho knows his house, he reasons, but still he can't deny that he is indeed happy.
“You haven't told me your answer yet.”
Jae reaches for the key in his pocket and inserts it on his door knob. The door clicks and he turns around before going inside. “What was your question again?”
Yunho blushes as if embarrassed for having to repeat his question the 2nd time around. “Do you ummm...still have feelings for me?”
“What answer do you want to hear?”
Yunho thinks. “Yes?”
“Then that's my answer.” Jae smiles and peeps just before he closes the door. “Good night Yunho!”
Yunho watched the door close and he felt his lips smile. This was what it felt like, years ago...and I'm feeling it again now. This is what it feels like to love...and be loved.
