You know, I've never joined a club with much of a cause. I've always joined clubs for fun and not a motive. So I heard what the GSA was doing in our school (going into classrooms, taking class time to pretty much tell people that a black person can say nigger and a gay person can say fag, but it's wrong for you to say that, which is total bull, at least in my opinion, since I believe in freedom of speech over "political correctness" or what is socially acceptable in society. The world would be better off if words weren't off limits to people. Damn that was a long side note. ) And it really got me thinking.

In the back of everyone's head, there's that part of them that wants to be socially accepted, and that's why orginizations like GSA were created. So I thought further. Organizations like GSA only amplify the problem that really isn't a big deal. Yes there are those occasion extreme hate crimes, but they're always commited by people that couldn't really be reached or changed in the first place (like getting a 70 year old to quit smoking). Considering that, are organizations like GSA created to change and already shifting society?

It's at this point I came to the conclusion that the majority of organizations like this are bullshit. Any organization created in seek of equality or social acceptance is, in a way, hypocritical. The organization, AMPLIFIES the problem to make it noticed and then expects equality. Honestly, if you want to be accepted, just be. Not everyone will like you or agree with you, but know things are going to change. You can't always be the majority.

The world is constantly shifting, no one is ever really breaking new ground. Nothing lasts forever. In fact, the constitution was written, knowing that slavery wouldn't last, and eventually it was abolished, it just wasn't its time yet. The founding fathers knew this way before us, and all these organizations are only trying to push something that isn't ready to be born yet. Time changes everything, not people.

Then again, it could just be that anarchist side of me calling.

organizations, socially accepted, anarchist, gsa, society
