Calliope made everything easy again, as Kara had known she would. She'd spent the morning and most of the afternoon with her daughter, listening to all that Calliope had done at her sleepover with Hera, marveling at the treasures she'd made and found. She felt a little guilty, dropping Calliope off again when the sun hung low in the sky, but Kara needed some time.
Her heart made an unsteady jerk towards her throat at the knock on the door. More time would've been nice, but Kara had told him tomorrow, and she wouldn't balk.
Kara opened the door, mute for only a moment before she found a smirk. "On a scale of one to eleven, how sore are you?"

"I dislike you very much," his voice rumbled, mouth twisting into something that could be described as nothing else but a pout. "Can I come in?"

"I like you." There was a long pause. "I promise?" he tried.
