Chapter 10b

The wrestlers mindlessly ran towards the two spies at full force. Only Kyuhyun was smirking, Sungmin had a serious expression. The younger struck first as he did a hard kick to the stomach. The skinny wrestler flew back onto some of his teammates, causing them to all fall down. He then turned to Sungmin and gave him a wink.

Is he copying my moves? Sungmin inwardly questioned. It was answered when he saw Kyuhyun doing another kick, this time to the face, as the wrestler mindlessly spun around twice before hitting the floor.

That bastard is mocking my fighting style! Sungmin fumed as he saw the younger’s smile grow wider. Kyuhyun was looking straight at him this time, silently challenging him with his eyes.

I’ll show him, Sungmin thought while smiling crookedly.

Then a fat wrestler came running towards him, arms stretched out as if he was going to giving him a hug. Sungmin swiftly moved to the side and grabbed one of his arm just like how Kyuhyun would. Within seconds, Sungmin flipped the oversized kid over. The heavy boy made a loud thud sound that shook the floor. Everyone froze for a moment. How did such a small boy flip over such a fat kid, only the laws of physics know.

Sungmin suggestively winked back at Kyuhyun, hahaha how do you like that?

The latter just raised one eyebrow and smiled, no doubt he was impressed with Sungmin’s fighting skills.

The rest of the team began to make a circle around the boys, clearly understanding that one on one was not an option (unless you wanted your a** kicked). Kyuhyun and Sungmin stepped closer to each other, until they were back to back.

“Pretty boy, can I trust you?” Sungmin said under his breath, calculating possible strategies that will result in minimal damage to him and maximal damage to the rest.

Kyuhyun shook his head, again with the nickname. “For the moment,” he said teasingly.

The team or what was left of it began closing in on the circle slowly and cautiously.

Sungmin gave him a look, “now is NOT the time to be joking around.”

Kyuhyun chuckled a little at Sungmin’s response. He found it entertaining when he got the latter angry. Something about that dominant personality just provokes him to tease the boy even more.

Sungmin’s face turned serious, “grab my hands.”

“What? Ewwwww, no way,” Kyuhyun squirmed.

The leader of the team smiled stupidly. Looking at the trapped bickering couple, he yelled, “Charge!” Immediately, everyone followed suit and the circle began rapidly shrinking.

Sungmin acted first as he quickly grabbed on to Kyuhyun hands. He began swinging the younger in mid-air. Trying to stabilize himself, Kyuhyun effectively kicked each wrestler in the face as Sungmin spun him around. One by one, the wrestlers began to fall. They were holding either their nose or eyes in pain. When it came time for the leader, Kyuhyun made sure to deliver a hard kick straight to the nose.

The boy soon joined the rest of his team on the floor. Sungmin showed no mercy as he walked over to the bleeding mess and grabbed the leader’s hair. He pulled him up to eye level.

Sungmin’s black orbs narrowed as he said in a low and steady, deadly tone, “If I ever see you interrupting me again, I’ll make sure you’ll never be able to walk properly after... got that?”

The leader gulp and nodded nervously in understanding, scarred at the idea of being permanently confined to a wheelchair. Sungmin roughly let go of his head and the boy crawled backward until he could get up on his feet. The team watched as their leader ran out the door, then they turned to Sungmin, swallowing in fear.

Sungmin just grinned. “Who’s next,” he said casually. Returning to his fighting stance, his face became serious.

Kyuhyun watched in amusement as the rest of the wrestling team fought against each other in order to be the first one out the door. Once everyone was gone, the latter turned to Kyuhyun.

“Now where were we?” Sungmin said teasingly.

Kyuhyun couldn’t help but to genuinely laugh.

“Let me remind you,” he said, as he playfully struck at Sungmin.

Taemin looked back hoping to see Minho race after him, but he was surprised to see the boy talking on the phone.

Is he giving me a head start? Taemin thought in confusion. Is he that confident in beating me that he stopped to have a conversation on the PHONE!?

Taemin smirked evilly as he doubled his speed. I’ll make him regret that later tonight, he thought, giggling out loud.

Minho got into the car with confidence, “do you have his coordinates yet?” He asked the dash board.

“He’s heading north bound to your school, driving at sixty miles per hour,” Kangin informed through the speakers of the car.

“Let’s change that,” Minho said grinning. He started the engine and floored the gas petal, the car growled in protest.

“He just passed third street,” Kangin reported.

“Turned the light to red for fourth street,” Minho said. “And display his coordinates on the map for me.”

The light suddenly turned red as Taemin quickly made a right turn in order to avoid the sudden incoming cars that were now following him.

“What was that! No yellow?” Taemin said angrily because he was now going the wrong direction.

Minho just laughed at the red dot that suddenly made a right turn on his screen, “he has good reflexes, didn’t you agree Kangin?”

“Impressive.”

In that moment, Taemin quickly made a sharp turn, ignoring the slight pains from his wounds. He was trying to get back on his previous street because it was the fasting way to the school.

Minho smirked at the red dot making a U turn, “Are there any cops in the vicinity?”

“Searching... nope, none in a thirty mile radius. You’re clear.”

Taemin was frustrated when the light turned from yellow to red. He was so close, he only needed to make a right turn to get back on his special street. His head was beginning to throb, now that the adrenaline was slowly down. Maybe he was pushing his body too much.

“All clear? Eeeeee-xcellent,” Minho said with glee, “time to test the horse power on this car.”

“What do you have in mind?” Kangin ask evilly, looking at Taemin’s still coordinates.

“I need a green wave first,” Minho said increasing his speed as he passed third street.

“You got it.”

Taemin was tapping his handles impatiently, the light was still red.

The speedometer increased to seventy miles per hour, but Minho still kept on pushing.

Holding on to his stomach, Taemin pouted. That light has been red for nearly two minutes now! He would have made the right turn if it weren’t for the crazy amount of zooming cars, especially that silver one... wait... WHAT!

“Congrats, you just passed him.” Kangin said, watching as the two dots collided temporarily.

Minho was laughing at Kangin’s obvious statement.

“Oooooh and he is not happy with that,” Minho clarified as he peeked in the rear view mirror.

Taemin’s heart was starting to race with nervousness. Did he just pass me! He looked at the disappearing silver car, no, I can’t let him win. Desperately he glance at the red light, then at the incoming cars, and then at the surroundings until they reached the empty sidewalk. An imaginary light bulb above Taemin’s head flashed brightly. I can’t let him win.

The boy kicked the bike back to life as he used the sidewalk as a temporary road until he merged into Minho’s lane. Snaking in between cars, the red bike was quickly catching up to the silver car.

“Hohoho he does adapt quickly,” Kangin said with amusement.

Puzzled by the scientist’s statement, Minho looked back at the screen. To his surprise, the red dot was right behind his blue one.

“What. How did he managed that?” Minho said, looking at Taemin behind him in the rear view mirror.

The younger just gave him an innocent wave, as if he was saying hello or goodbye. Then looking at the car next to Minho, the boy blew him a kiss as he changed lanes to the farest right. Minho was frustrated at the car now separating them because Taemin was increasing inching ahead of him and he couldn’t do anything about it. He was trapped by that stupid car next to him, giving the boy a lead... for now.

“Two more streets until destination,” Kangin warned.

“I know that!” Minho said, turning the wheel hastily to the right. The car behind him hooked.

Taemin’s smile grew behind his helmet, his heart was beating out of his chest. Getting desperate?

Minho pushed the petal further, seeing the parking lot ahead, so close. Only a street away, Taemin could taste victory as he set his bike on the final gear. The machine jerked forward, propelling through the air and rapidly crossing the invisible finish line. Minho crossed seconds afterward, braking hard as his car whined in pain. Taemin did the same, and parked his bike.

“That kid’s not bad with a bike,” Kangin commented, “ I can’t believe...”

Minho pulled his keys from the ignition, he didn’t want to hear it. Hear that he lost. Even with help. He still lost. He exhaled slowly, trying the remain composed for Taemin as he got out of his car.

The latter took out his helmet and smiled sweetly and confidently at Minho. He swung his leg off the bike, spinning cutely. He couldn’t wait to claim his prize.

Minho noticed the latter’s unsteady wobbling, was he in pain or was it the spin?

Taemin clutched his stomach, still smiling sweetly at Minho. The adrenaline was gone now and his lungs were struggling to supply the oxygen his body demanded. Minho was hypnotized by that angelic face, it was so filled with pure joy and happiness. He felt it melting his own soul, willing to do whatever for that smiling face.

“I won,” Taemin breathily said. His eyes lowered down to Minho’s delicious lips. He won, HE WON! Minho was his for the taking. He leaned forward seductively, but his vision failed him as he eventually collapse in Minho’s awaiting arms.

Minho pulled out his phone to call, something was not right.

Donghae rushed out of Eunhyuk’s car, slightly stumbling until he fell on the ground.

Eunhyuk was just giggling as he locked the doors. He then move toward the fallen boy and tried to help him up. They were at the parking lot of the restaurant now.

“Are you ok?” Eunhyuk said with his gummy smile, extending his hand.

“You’re worst than Kyuhyun,” Donghae managed to say. His head was still spinning from the loopy turns the latter gave him earlier.

Eunhyuk just laughed, “I hope you like Mediterranean.”

Donghae eyes widen at the sounds of food, “yes I do.” He said smiling and licking his lips.

Eunhyuk just grinned at the boy’s sudden change of mood, leading him to the entrance to the restaurant.

“Table for two,” the hostess said, giving them a raised eyebrow.

“Yes please,” Eunhyuk said politely because Donghae was too busy gaping at the place’s interior.

“Follow me.”

The boy followed the hostess, but stopped shortly after realizing that Donghae was missing. Looking behind him, he smirked at the fishy, who was still gaping. Eunhyuk walked back toward the boy and whispered, “come on.” Grabbing his hand, he led him to their table.

The hostess laid down the menu’s on the table and recited their speciality for the day as the boys sat down. She left afterward to bring water.

Donghae was excited, he had never been to this type of restaurant before. Well, he really hasn’t been to many restaurants to begin with, him being stuck in the lab most of the time and all. But never the less, he was excited and energized.

“So how did you fixed it?” Eunhyuk asked curiously.

“Fix what?” Donghae said acting like a fool, but he knew very well what the latter was talking about. They were talking about his signature virus.

“That pesky virus,” the dancer specified.

“Oh that,” Donghae feigned innocence while looking at the menu. No way was he going to reveal that, it was his last line of defense... his secret weapon.

Suddenly Eunhyuk phone rang, Donghae thanked his lucky stars. Hopefully he can distract him further.

“Aren’t you going to get that?” The fishy insisted.

“That would be rude to you,” Eunhyuk said, defending himself.

“No, don’t worry. It may be important.”

“Okay, please excuse me,” Eunhyuk said picking up the phone. He went to the garden outside.

Donghae sighed heavily, that was a close one. The hostess came back with their waters.

“Everything ok?”

“So far,” the fishy said slowly, gazing at Eunhyuk worried expression.

Eunhyuk rushed back to Donghae, “Taemin’s in trouble.”

The fish wasted no time. “Let’s go,” Donghae said. Grabbing Eunhyuk’s keys, “but this time, I’m driving.”

“Uhh...” Eunhyuk’s mind went blank, “but it’s my car.”
