Recording Sucks, But I Love It
today was your average day. i have a 100 in math so thats cool. the thing that sucks tho is that in order to keep an a in that class, i have to get an a on the final. i think thats stupid. i took an accounting test and think i did pretty good about it. after school, we drove to daltons to drop off the guitar stuff, and then went back to scotts to pick up his drum stuff, when i drove that there, keenan took billy and scott to guitar center so scott could get some things he needed. me and dalton set up for recording. the plan was for me to record the guitar part and then when scott and all them got back, we record the drums. that failed because when recorded, my pedals sound like crap so we just waited around for them. when they got there, we had like 2 and half hours before ppl had to leave. after a bunch of failed attempts of recording due to technical difficulties or timing problems ect, we figured out how to make it sound the best. basically were recording the drums and guitar at the same time, but on different tracks. if you dont understand, dont worry, your not the only one. by the time we got those two done, keenan had already left cus he had to be home. omar didnt even come cus of something to do with a car. the guys were kinda upset about that. imagine how they felt when he told us he cant record tomorrow either. everyone was cussing eachother out and getting pissed at eachother tonight. i wasnt surprised by that. you stick 4 best friends into a garage for long enough, and theyll be fighting. we all wanted to get the song done and there were so many obstacle we had to climb over. but we did it. at the end of the night we all hugged and were happy. we all know we love eachother so its all good. after that i just dropped billy and scott off at scotts house and came home.
tomorrow after school were recording again and it should go by quicker cus we have it all set up finally. it took at least 2 hours to set up today and another 2 or so just to figure out how to do it cus we tried so many variations of recording. so i bet tomorrow will fly by quickly. we gotta record the drums and guitar for the end of the song, then were doing bass, then vocals, backup vocals. and im sure by the time those are done, me and billy will have to leave cus were going to go see emery and from first to last play at the mason jar. its gonna be so sweet. i cant wait. there like my two favorite bands ever. i guess on thursday, we'll record omars guitar for that song and then move onto whatever song we feel like. peace.
