baby happy fun time
I woke up to play rock band - now going back to sleep :-P
I left Amelia with my step-mom for a couple hours today while my Dad and I went to see Werther at OperaSJ - I know some of the people in the cast. The first half was good and made me want to perform again, but then I called my stepmom and intermission and could hear her crying in the background - I just couldn't stand it. I left my dad there and went to go be with my baby, which I think was the right decision, even though my dad was a little peeved. Apparently she's having trouble taking a bottle, even of my pumped milk - this is not good. I'm considering quitting my job after the high school play is over so I can just be with her full time, which is really what I feel pulled to do right now. Hopefully she'll continue taking a bottle from Joel, though, although she's been resisting it and just napping with him a lot until I get home. Luckily I'm not working every day, but with three weeks until the play opens they're wanting me to be there more. Eeek! Maybe I'll try bringing her with me and wearing her in a sling.
Amelia is laughing a lot now - such a cute monotone laugh! If I grab her hands when she's on her back and roll her back and forth, she laughs a lot. Also if you dip her upside-down for a second and then bring her back up and kiss her. soooo cute! She's very good at grabbing things and can almost roll over by herself. Of course I'm biased, but I think she's especially smart based on her social interactions - she seems to understand a lot. She says "heeBOOOaahh" a lot which I think means hello, and "Heeaakhuuuh" I think means hungry. She can also say "Dada" and "Mama"!
