cause we've got it going on like a machine

I think this makes up for all the shitty days I've had in the past...life, but of course in the next five minutes I'll find something to complain about, just watch.

[4/16]
went downtown today with dad. our family isn't close. we're not cross-finger tight-knit yunno? we're like acquaintances that get by with the same last name. since my brother came back to go to chinatown to recieve the cheaper of a dentist appointment...and the nazar: photographs from the arab world was at downtown and the coexistance thing was too. and I really really wanted to go, dad got stuck with me, and my mom was left with kevin to drive the opposite direction_chinatown.

[4/17]
so after walking through nazar exhibit's squeaky wood floors, dad & I did some more walking, some crossing, some running, some picture taking...to downtown, in downtown. it was hot. but it wasn't dying hot, especially after seeing photographs of a whole deprivated ethnic group, we were sort of grateful to see we could walk at all.

after finding out where city hall was, we crossed a couple of streets to where the coexistence artsy billboards were suppose to be displaying round the reflection pool.

we were both really thirsty so we lifted shoes to somewhere else, that somewhere turned out to be tropioca. the interior was your regular slam-blam curvy designed & mango-y colored 'cafe', a place where you can quench-your-thirst-&-be-ripped-off-at-the-same-time, owned by asians, ran by asians, I guess they thought fruity tapioca would appeal to americans. we ordered frappacinos because fruity tapioca was just to weird to even think bout ordering. you just know it's owned by asians. *sigh*
putting games out so people would stay at the place longer, restrooms requiring keys asked over the counters, to make sure only customers use the restrooms. sometimes, we're just too thrifty for our own good.

but dad & I played battleship{coolness}

[today]
dad went to california for a business trip in the morning
I read the sunday paper as usual. it's funny to say that, because I actually only skim the headlines on front page and the other sections as a little breezer before delving into the funnies, best buy, circut city, target, wolf camera, old navy, t-mobile, verizon wireless flyers. zest, which is a separate entertainment tabloid sort of thing is my favorite. I mean, come on, andrew dansby reviews & writes with ecletic music taste. ecletic is good. wilco this time. zest has a little indie vibe going on now because of him, he's too cool to the maxxx.
god. I love. satchel. the dog from get fuzzy. rob's so cool. bucky's just funny...caustic-like...?

after sat class, I went to buy the harry potter book in paperback for english. the half-price guy who usually works there, wasn't there today. made me sad. a little. okay...a lot. I hope he's still working there.
then mom dropped me off at b&n, it's been awhile since b&n time, I read April's AP issue and walked around browsing the graphic design section. but I was looking at the clearance sections too, you know the ones in the front, well...I found The Authoritative Calvin & Hobbes made me sooo effing happy. I was so amazingly. happy. only $9.98. and I guess mom was in a good mood and bought me it. so I still have not spent any of my allowance in hopes of saving up for the elliott smith collection splurge.

I'm sorry today's just been so so so grood.
