NO ONE I KNOW WOULD CALL ME AT THIS HOUR. (Since I started actually sleeping, no one I know *does* call me at that hour.) Though really, any one of my friends could call me at midnight if they needed to, and I'd be down with that. If it was "just to chat," well, they'd be waking up the next morning minus a limb or two.

I only delete them when my memory on the phone is full, but again, I don't txt. I used to txt with my previous BFs (bestfriends, not boyfriends), but we don't talk anymore and I noticed that I never txted with anyone else, so I stopped altogether. I really prefer phone or email anyhow.

All of it. There was very little that I didn't listen to.
Do you believe in staying close with your ex's?
Not on principle. I'm close with one of my exes, but that took a lot of time and shared history. My other two breakups... well, one was a nuclear holocaust and one was a divorce. Staying *in touch* wasn't an option, much less staying close.
Are most of the friends in your life new or old?
At this point: old. A & T are two of my best friends in Beantowne and I've known them both for at least 10 yrs. K is my BGF (Best G-ddamn Friend) at this point and she and I have been in touch just about every day for the past six years. C's another good friend in Beantowne who I've known for six years. So, yeah, pretty old. I think S in PVD is my "newest" close friend and I've been fairly close with her for about two years.
Is it easier to be friends with girls or guys?
It's easier to avoid stupid gender assumptions. Statistically, most of my friends are female, but I don't believe this has anything to do with "ease" of communication but rather has more to do with going to a predominately female college in a town with two women's colleges, developing close friends over LJ (which is a total girl-zone), and spending a lot of time in PVD in StitchNBitch. I've been in a lot of woman-dominated spaces over the last ten years, either by luck or choice, so that's the main reason why most of my friends are ladies.
