Song of the Moment: Cee-Lo Green "Forget You"
Darn. Almost forgot that I wanted to do this. This song right here is my jam right now. It's just hitting the spot on all levels. I should probably get Cee-Lo's record. After all, I have this man to thank for "Love Gun" which I am STILL obsessed with a year later. In my opinion, I think the words "forget you" flow better for this song than the original "f*ck you." Plus, I can blast this one without having to be a bad influence on my niece so that's a plus, too. :-P
Although I will say that the lyric "although there's pain in my chest, I still wish you the best with a forget you" sounds weak. That sounds better with "f*ck you", truth be told.
In my opinion, I think Cee-Lo is a perfect example of how to make a good Pop song. The guy knows how to make his songs extremely catchy with cool, easygoing lyrics that can easily uplift your mood. I approve what I've heard on his Lady Killer record so far.
But "Love Gun" has my heart, though. Damn it, I love that one. Love Gun is MY song. It's mine. I claim it as my own. :-)
