Pairing: MirAndy AU

Summary: Since I am working in the hotel business and had to clean a lot of rooms.. and also had the feeling of just flopping down to the floor and sleep... I always wished for my dreamwife to stop by, find me there in this miserable state and just take care of me. Didn't happen but oh maybe she'll find me now at the front office and dazzle me with her smile while I check her in. No one knows :D

"Let me tell you the story of how I became the wife of the Miranda Priestly though I started as a simple hotel maid.
It was a usual day, rainy, cold, I got a flue like every third month and I was working.
Two years now I had been stuck at this hotel. It was the best one in Berlin and I had been grateful when I was hired but my plans had been so different when I came here.
I just wanted to explore Germany and have a good time, practicing my language skills and then it all went wrong.
Hanging around with the wrong people made me chose poorly and soon I ran out of money. My parents were too poor so they couldn't pay for my flight ticket back to the US. That's how I started applying for jobs in hotels.
My german was too bad for a waitress, so I got to housekeeping.
Anyway there I was now, cleaning the rooms and suites of the rich and beautiful. Day by day. All the money I earned was spent for rent and food. My savings only grew very slowly even while I worked 6 days a week and on the 7th even worked in a small cafe without being listed.
Good thing was that I lately had been promoted and now worked as a key-maid. Means, I only clean the big suites, get more credit and money (not much more, trust me) and since all the supervisors appreciated my good work, I could check on my own and saved them time.
But back to the story.
As usual my daily schedule led me to the presidential suite as my last duty for the day. The who lived there for a week then always wanted service at exactly 3pm. It was weird because he slipped out at 8am and came back at excatly 4pm. So maybe he just had pleasure in giving us the time pressure.
Almost done I went out of the suite to get the last bottles of water that he always demanded. Feeling the fever rise due to all the work I also noticed my vision blurr and myself sway.
“C'mon Andy, get yourself together. Just finishing this and then I can go to sleep.”
The talking to myself didn't do anything. With the additional bottles in arm I fainted...
It must have been looking hilarious but someone took pity in me.
When I woke up (to quote my wife “just a few seconds later”) a beautiful woman was kneeling next to me. In a gorgeous black dress. Deep v-neck....I could almost see her bellybutton...oh but sorry not the topic.
She held one of those damn bottles to my temple and had placed the other two on the side of the hallway. Very thoughtful right?
Then she spoke her first words to me, in german. It was perfectly fluent.
“Ich wünschte ich könnte auch einfach ein Nickerchen während der Arbeit machen. Sie Glückliche!”
(I wish I could also take a nap during work. You lucky one!) "
