Some part of me is stubbornly refusing to admit that high school is over. But I know it is, and that's that. I have made friends whom I can either treasure in my mind for all time or keep in touch with or forget about completely. I don't know what will happen quite yet, but whatever it is, it doesn't make anybody any less important. That's just how things in the past go with me. They tend to stay there, for the most part. Emotional investment is a risk that I am sometimes willing to take.
So yesterday, Alex came over and we watched Scrubs. I went to Joey's house later for some fun and games with Kevin, Paul, and Richard. We went to Best Buy later and spent a couple hours there, and Paul broke the stone pillar. I swear. "It was already like that!!" Because everything is better with two exclamation marks.
Famima!!
Then Joey had to go home, so Kevin, Richard, Paul, and I went to visit Nick at Coldstones. What a sexy experience. After waiting a million hours for Nick to finish sexying it up, we got out of there and sort of did nothing for a long time and decided to go eat. It was really awkward, in a funny sort of way.
It seems like we are all just reaching for as many final glimpses of each other as we can get.
KayPee's birthday was on the fourth, and Richard and I did some last minute planning, although Richard did most of it. So a bunch of us gathered at the Grove and such. Jon's girlfriend was kind of irritating because she kept trying to get people to break off from the group to do random other things, rather than stay with KayPee and acknowledge his day with everybody. It's okay not to like people you hardly know. We ate at Woodranch and then tossed a frisbee later at the tar pits in the dark while watching the fireworks shoot up from afar.
