ok ok, finally a chance to do an update. Not that ive been up to much, just that ive been spending loads of time with neil <3 recently.
Anyways, so i was at this show the other week, got the chance to catch up with a few people i havent seen for a while, was pretty sweet. I had been sitting at the side in the garage as we had got there pretty early, decided to use the time to read the newest copy of VICE.
So the good bands started to play so i get up to show my support, and i got back to my chair to find someone had dumped a pamphlet on top of my copy of VICE, called "anarchist weekly" or whatever. I began to read the articles in it out of curiosity but ended up feeling pretty disgusted.
Ever heard the phrase 'rebels without cause?'-They must have written this booklet.
Seriously, it left me feeling pretty disgusted.
It was full of bias and racism, and about biting the hand that feeds you.
One article was about how the council had fitted better, safer security measures on a block of flats, and the reporter claimed that this was somewhat immoral or unfair on the people living there. Personally i dont think i would feel that way if those measures were taken on council housing in which i was taking up residence there. The system which was fitted wasnt focused on installing cameras everywhere, but a card system, so its not a matter of an infringement of privacy.
I think if i were them id be pretty fucking grateful. Im sure the council only decided to take those steps because the area was pretty unstable in the first place.
Another was about an opposing protest taking place at the same time as their anarchist one, and said how the opposing protestors shouted abuse which suggested their intelligence was somewhat lacking, which in turn suggested that they were inferior beings. Perhaps they had also read their pamphlets? Yet the reporter kept refering to the anarchists as 'the normal ones' and the opposers things such as jewish monsters.
To make matters worse, as i went into the toilets i found a poster up for a pro-nazi band. What the hell is going on here!?
Anyways, not much else bothering me for now, except some low-life making judgements of me when she dosnt have a clue. I also dont appriciate the way shes making my friends feel about things. She has certainly got a lot to answer for when we next cross paths. What makes me most angry is the way i used to stick up for her when she was going out with neil and he'd chat to me about his problems, yet she dosnt have the decency to overcome jealousy and even attempt to keep self respect of her own.
Either way i'll get over it quick, since shes pretty much out of the picture now, for me anyways.
Eugh, well didnt go to reading this year, because this holiday i failed to get a job, and i failed to go out and learn to drive.
Got my results of my AS levels, 2 Bs and 2 Cs. At first i was pleased, because i heard so many people getting Ds and stuff, but thinking about it i kinda wish i'd got ABB. dont care about the last one, but im going to have to bump it up to ABB if i want to get into the Uni and course that i want.
I need to get organised. Spent too much of this holiday partying and not getting things done. But had a good time doing it :)
