(no subject)
prom was so much fun! my hair turned out perfect, my dress fit right, brian looked amazing (and he showed off his tie all night - i felt myself blush on more than one occasion heehee), and everyone had a blast! pictures and the mini pre-prom party at my house was a success, took loads of pictures lolz. got there fashionably late (only 15 minutes after it started so we didn't miss anything) but chatted it up and danced basically all night (and kept my shoes on the whole time - not necessarily the smartest thing to do, lol).
the dj was decent, played dance music - like Lady GaGa and even some old Eminem - so we kept dancing, but the music itself wasn't amazing. played some good, slow(er) songs while we were eating, but NO slow dances, other than the one i heard was played at the very end - brian and i left about 15 minutes early so he could drive home and be sure not to miss the midnight-driving-curfew thingie. brian danced like the whole time! twice this kid came up to him and put his arm around him pretty sketchily and sorta danced, and i could tell brian was uncomfortable, so the second time i took his hands and pulled him forward a bit to dance, and we danced holding hands like that for a song or two (it was ADORABLE and made me SO HAPPY :D).
after prom we went back to his house to hang out, and soon after aaron and his girlfriend danielle came over, too. we all sat in the basement and watched tv and talked and snacked on popcorn and pretzels. aaron was like half asleep on danielle, who was chatting with brian about some girls i don't know, so i kinda sat there wanting brian to put his arm around me like aaron had done for danielle, but instead he propped himself up a bit on his elbow sitting on the couch so he could see danielle on my other side... yea i was like uhhh what? oh well. so when i left around 1, i kissed him on the cheek as i walked past him out the door. *sigh* he's so sweet and adorable, but not very touchy and it kind of kills me a wee bit because there's teeeensy simple things... but oh well. we'll get there. ^_^
i finally got to sleep around 1:30 and slept for like 12 solid hours, minus a few minutes here and there from being woken up by my parents in the house. it felt AMAZING, i needed it SO BADLY after this week lol. so i sat around for the few hours left of saturday afternoon then showered and got ready for the last USY dance of the year :'( that was so fun, too. i showed my friends pictures of brian and they were like "OMG SO CUTE!!" lolz.
got home late from that, would have posted then but i was half asleep at 2 AM and had to get up early to visit drexel's open house. got up at 6, left at 7:30, got to philadelphia...at 9?! an hour earlier than we had thought/planned/needed to be there?! as we got off rt 295 i texted my friend megan, who was on her way there too, and was like "whoa, we just got into philly. we're an hour early, what is this?" lolz. yea my mom and i are NEVER early, let alone by an hour! so we were chill trying to figure out where to go, and were the first people in the door for registration/sign in. talked to the ladies at the booth for the fashion department then went to grab some food from the breakfast buffet that was set up for the open house :) the coffee was kind of crap, though the corn muffins were yumtious :P OH i saw a guy i went on my USY trip with in summer of 07! it was so funny xD so i love drexel even more now! the program is amazing, and the co-op thing is incredible. gahh i wanna go there so badly!
on our way home from drexel we stopped at my temple to hear some speakers that survived the holocaust with the bielski brothers - three brothers that managed to save 1200 jews by forming a community deep in the woods of...the soviet union, i believe. it was incredible to hear from them, such a moving experience. i'm actually going to tell my history teacher about it tomorrow (he wasn't there today, or i would have already told him) as well as try to find a quote by elie wiesel (that one of the speakers quoted) to use in my history final paper to connect it with the darfur situation.
so today...anything happen today...hrm...OH my physics teacher wasn't there either, so i had two subs in a row! lol. OMG in fashion i am really close to finishing the shirt i'm making for my sister, it's adorable!! i'll hopefully finish it in a couple days, so i can bring it home to show her when she comes back from DC with her school. eeek she's gonna be so excited!! :D
SO i found some cool new layouts i wanna use for my journal, i think i decided on one...just wanna figure out a header... after that i'll worry about getting new userpics...
hmm i really miss my RP families... :( i hope we start up again soon!
so i'm hoping this week is better - especially since it's supposed to be sunny, and i have a field trip to six flags on thursday! :D
oh, shoot, i have math homework to do, and lots of Dracula to read. LOL. i'll probably post again tonight lol.
