So, I was browsing ye olde interweb when I couldn't sleep and saw a newstory on Yahoo. Apparently Roseanne "blasted" Oprah for her support of Obama. It figures that the story is in video format and this current hunk of junk has no sound so I can't listen, but after doing abit of browsing, I can probably guess it. Basically, my guess has to do with Oprah supporting Obama instead of Hilary. Roseanne probably said something along the lines of "Oprah should support Hilary because Hilary is a woman and women are more oppressed than black people." Maybe not word for word, but I can garuntee that's the sentiment she ment to convey.
So how do I know this? Well I got curious and started to investigate Roseanne's site. I was expecting abit of crazy, especially from a woman who named her son "Bug," but Jesus and Mary was I not expecting this. I no longer have to wonder why they always made John Goodman such an asshole at times on her self titled show. She seems to have a pretty intense hatred for men. I know that's like the new frontier for alot of those really hardcore feminists, but jeeze.
For instance - in one of her posts that not only tries to equate the "Years of repression by not being able to vote" to the suffering black people endured as a reason to vote for Hilary instead of Obama, she states that "The women of this country deserve a woman president who's feet they can hold to the fire on behalf of children, sons husbands, fathers, and communities. A man President will not owe this." What? The male presidents of the past have NOT been held to the fire on behalf of all the listed? Did I get 200 years of history wrong? What the fuck were Kennedy, Lincoln, Truman, etc doing? Dancing with daisies?
Another example? When speaking about how proud she was about Hilary as being the first to break through the gender barrier to run for president, "A black male president should come after your presidency. One man is as good as another, no matter their color, no matter their creed. They are all men, and the propping up of any of them is old and tired and over. It's Women's time now, and the world needs us!!" I was actually kinda shocked. "They are all men." "One man is as good as another." Wow. Also some irony - Hilary is NOT the first female to run for president and "Make it this far." There have been atleast two females who ran for president that come to my mind, and one was black even. Looking it up abit more, there have been atleast 15 women who've ran for president since 1800 in the United states. Infact, Hardner ran in 2000. That's not even that old and to my understanding, she stayed all the way through the race but wasn't chosen in the primaries, so she atleast made it as far as Hilary, but I guess things such as "facts" aren't important and Hilary is the first woman to do anything important and run for president. Hoorah.
So what else is Roseanne angry about? Just about everything I like. She hates: Christianity for a variety of reasons...although it actually seems like she hates organized religion entirely, stooping to essentially saying that religion turns people into cavemen (Wasn't there a time when the Catholic church was actually on the forefront of science?); Israel, but talks nonstop about being a jew and how things such as Jesus are anti-semetic, Republicans; she states right out that all republicans are stupid and or redneck as well as that she'll never vote for them. Never is a very dangerous word and tells me she's politically retarded. I'm a republican through and through, however depending on the match up, I might vote democrat. Why? Because every candidate has something to offer and it's about who I think will best represent the country, not what fucking party they're in.
So what annoys me the most about Roseanne? Well aside from her and all her whacko board members that agree with everything that comes out of her fat maw, there's one thing that really annoys me. See, Roseanne is the type that claims she's speaking because of free speech. Infact, she announces in her blog that she engages in her hate speech in order to show the virtues of free speech. That's all and well, but this is what gets my goat. The announcement in her forum goes like this: "While her blog entries are open for discussion, at the request of Roseanne, please refrain from any personal messages and try to stay on topic. Anyone who disagrees with Roseanne or ventures off the subject of her blog will be erased." Translation "LOL, I LOVE FREE SPEECH AND HAM UNLESS YOU DISAGREE WITH ME, INWHICH CASE YOU DON'T DESERVE FREE SPEECH, BUT MAN DO I STILL LOVE HAM."
You don't know how glad I am that George Lopez and Tim Allen replaced her unfunny assed show on Nick-At-Night....I wonder what Chuck Norris' blog is like.
