I'm drawing again, but not what I should be drawing. I should be working on a certain project that'll get printed this year. If not that I should be doing character design for Orientology, But instead I'm making user images for my LJ accounts. Sad.
Including this one, I've got four accounts I use often, including two for my OCs and one for RP. I'm not happy with the avatars for either of them so I'm drawing new ones. Yay, me. Doing art again. Except...
My art style feels derivative. It looks like a cross between Archie comics and Death Note. I'm doing exercises where I try to copy another artists style, but when I go back to my own stuff it still looks like Reggie found Ryuk's Note. It's so frustrating.
And I find that I'm most inspired to draw in the evenings. I guess because of all the crap I do in the mornings and afternoons. (Like nap, and take medicine and nap some more.)
But at least I'm drawing something. I'll only get better with practice, right?
