Finally, finally, FINALLY, after a couple of delays from Tsubasa's D&R DVD came yesterday. I got right to work and watched/squeed about it. SO good! After reading the concert reports and wishing I could see it all, I was impressed the DVD showed a lot of the highlights I'd read about: Tsuba-ushi, of course, death-metal Yumemo, call/answer flamenco, etc. The first thing I had to watch, though, was the SubaTsuba Yumemo encore! Loved it! Seeing Subaru and Tsubasa rocking about to YumeMo was &hearts !
I've been watching Shounen Club episodes from 2008, and I'm becoming more familiar with the Juniors and Kanju. So between that and reading concert reports from FiVe lives and J-Rock concerts, I was hoping for more face-time for FiVe, Veteran, and TheyBudou. But the end credits montage with all of them covering Tsubasa with streamers and hugging him was so cute! Imai-Tsubasa.com blog, as always, does a much better job of showing the highlights and best parts of anything Tsubasa. Here is a pic she posted on her site (with the arrow pointing at Tatsumi, of course!)
And all of them (and Girls Dancers) dancing in cow costumes (with Tsubasa in a mini-skirt) was surprisingly endearing, and not at all off-putting (although the mini-skirt was weird, I expected it, so....).
Anyway, I am happy, happy, happy. I did a lot of drama-watching, j-pop buying, and Johnny's fangirling this summer, but that will wait for another entry. :) Gotta watch D&R again. And haven't even gotten to the dokkiri disc in the limited edition yet!
