It was so easy, wasn't it. She provided means, taking advantage of opportunity. Dean's safety provided motivation. Surely the act was justified. Wasn't it?
Ooooh, good point. I was a bit concerned for Sam after Ruby's "You wouldn’t be Sam if you did", though I didn't think of the ep as pivotal. At least, before your meta. Man, now I've got more reason to pay attention to the roses and the colors now.
Thanks Lucy. :) Blackjedii got me thinking about Andy (and the originally scripted but then lost Lily and Max) and then when I recognized the rose window for what it was... the rest took off on its own and it was all I could do to hanging onto its leash.
I feel bad for Sam because something big and dark is really in store but, he is one of two heroes so I keep thinking that he's going to come out of it with some sense of self intact, even though I'm sure it's going to mark him in some really nasty way. Or so I'm hoping. At least...
Heh, I <3 him throwing down the gauntlet. That was so awesome although I dread where it's going to take him. Anything for Dean well, really means anything after all.
Which is interesting because I think Sam's really deep down decided that this is War and that's probably from his own perception of things as well as Ruby's influence while Dean isn't as concerned with the Big Picture. Sam's right in that getting information from Ruby is very risky but also one that 'we need to take' but Dean just sees it as a personal threat. Which is another meta in itself that there's no way I can make sense out of tonight!!
Hey there, Roniabirk. Sorry I missed the opportunity to contribute to the podcast. I listened to it when I got back into town and enjoyed the thoughts and enthusiasm expressed in it. (hee! "rose window" *g*)
