I must say, reading this and looking at the visuals made the hair on the back of my neck stand up.
Doesn't it. I started off with noticing the parallel in the flower boxes and the call-backs just kind of spiraled out from there. I *like* Castiel, and adore Misha, so I wasn't expecting what I found at all. I stared at those last 2 pics for a long time with nothing more coherent running through my brain than, "Whoa."
The brothers seem to be working on their relationship, but I wouldn't put it past Kripke to keep Cas's true purpose like an ace in his sleeve till the end of the arc.
Me too. I can almost see him ducking his head down and chuckling evilly, the stinker.
Seeing Future Cas in The End did suggest that his loyalty to Dean was solid, but when Dean said 'welcome to the club' (the human race), Cas replied, thanks, but I used to be a member of a much better club, indicating that being human was a poor second best.
Yeah, I have yet to decide if it was really the future or a Angelrama-Disneyland. So, I'm not sure if Castiel's comment there is truly his own or what Zachariah would want coming out of Cas' mouth - that it reflects Zach's dismissive prejudices against humans. Dunno.
I hope we get to see her soon.
Yeah, I'm thinking (hoping) that her presence would shed some light on things. Mad Men's on, what, episode 9? Maybe we'll see her on SPN during or after the holidays.
even though the whole season was one long reveal about the nature of angels and that they weren't 'the good guys', somehow the ramifications were never carried through logically.
Which I find really interesting. There's definitely a "halo effect" (har-har) operating around Castiel. Somehow it' really easy to sympathize with him and discount the negative signs.
