Rather than fill space with extravagant ramblings re: my enriching life experiences, I choose to use this time and space to plug some upcoming events/committees going on around campus.
In light of recent hate crimes against GLOW, they are initiating (and high time i'd say) a GLOW Ally Network. To make GLOW and their contributions more visible and increase positive space on campus, they are conducting training sessions to increase understanding and awareness.

Also, if you've spoken to me recently AT ALL, you will find that most of what I am talking about these days involves International Women's Week March 6 - 10th (that's NEXT week!) Posters are up ALL OVER campus so take a look around. We (WPIRG and the Womyn's Centre) have some excellent events happening.

Tuesday: 7:30 - 9:30 at WEAVERS ARMS BAR (268 Phillip St)
COMEDY CABARET!! "I just don't Understand Women" with Norman Nawrocki, acclaimed Montreal actor and sex advocate, will be addressing issues of date rape, relationship violence, homophobia, and safe sex!
Wednesday: 5 - 7 Women in Business Panel Discussion in the MPR also, Bev Jacobs speaking about indigenous women in canada, location TBA
Thursday: 7 - 12 WOMENS WEEK CONCERT in the BOMBER -- a donation show featuring your favourite local/semi-local bands: Knock Knock Ginger, Barmitzvah Brothers, Hot Kid, and Fatima COME OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Friday: 10 - 4 in the MPR WOMENS WEEK WORKSHOPS run by volunteers, including yours truly. I'm working off my memory for these times...
10 - 12: Intro to Yoga 12- 2 Celebrate Women Through Art and learn about Herbal Medicine/Have tea 2 - 4 Learn about Sustainable Menstruation
All of this information can be found on a big banner in the SLC and on posters posted up around campus.
So come out and show your Love of Women :) I know I will be.
