What were not lame titles were two TV shows that I loved to watch.
Brimstone starred John Glover as the devil--smoother and more evil than his Lionel Luthor. Peter Horton played the cop he shanghaied to get some souls back from Hell. Great characters, not just gimmicks.
Everyone's heard about Fantasy Island, at least those of us over 35. What many people didn't know is there was an attempt to revive it in 2002, with Malcolm McDowell as Mr. Roarke. It stuck closer to its roots, with Roarke being a bit nasty at times and not just the genial host. It also followed Shakespeare's "The Tempest" in who its core characters were.
I've got a few episodes of each kicking around my VHS collection.
