First Post For Me
I’ve been reading the group via my friends list, and finally remembered a few things that hadn’t been posted about yet--at least to my knowledge. I recently remembered a few shows that I used to love, and I wanted to see if anyone else remembered them. Some of them are definitely obscure.
Marc Summers’ Mystery Magical Special. I have never been able to find a clip of this. It used to play every Halloween on Nickelodeon, from the early 80's until I don't know when. I just know that I always watched it.
The Great Bear Scare. (Can’t even find this at IMDB!) I haven’t seen this one in over 20 years, and I can’t even find a mention of it on Youtube. It involved a bear called Ted E. Bear, and some monsters in the mountains. I know I liked it when I was little, but I don’t remember much else about it.
Dot and the Kangaroo--I found the Bunyip scene that apparently scared many people when they were little. Does anyone else remember this?
And something that I’ve always loved. Mr. Boogedy and Bride of Boogedy. Did anyone else know that Bud Bundy was the little boy named Corwin in these movies? I just recently found this out.
And this wasn’t really a show, just something I used to look forward to in the early 90’s: TNT’s Monstervision. You could watch things like Plan 9 From Outer Space, and Night of the Lepus. When I watched, it was hosted by Penn and Teller. I’ve looked around and apparently they eventually stopped hosting and someone named Joe Bob Briggs took over.
