This com is awesome. ^^

I love blabbering on about random programmes and I love it even more when someone else knows what im talking about.

Here are some obscure (for where i live) movie gems i have found.

'The Edukators': Its German, its artsy (ok it was a hit an Cannes so not quite obscure),a very engaging movie about some leftwing german kids getting back at the man (literally). They break into rich peoples houses and freak them out by re-arranging their funiture, but its not all fun and games and the movie soon turns serious.

'The Magician': Australian budget (made for $3000 Au) Black comedy/mocumentary about a hitman who decides to record his...activities. Not for the faint of heart. Similar in feel to 'The last horror movie'.

'Kitchen stories': A Scandinavian ( i think...) film set in the 50's about a Swedish researcher who gets sent to Norway in a caravan to investigate how men there move about their kitchen. Never seen a film with a plot like that and probably wont again. The main focus of the plot is the researcher and his subject who are never supposed to interact, only to observe, with hilarious counsequesces as the subject is less than happy to have a strange man sitting on what looks like a tennis referees chair in the corner of his kitchen.

One for all fellow New Zealandites.

'Back of the Y': Much greater educated people from abroad who dont bask in crude humour, forgive us this horrid (but brilliant), twisted version of our own culture. Perhaps too many in-jokes and such for international audiences, but if you ever want to see a programme take the piss of the people and government of the country made by that very country...that made no sense at all but if you understood it, this is the show for you!

B MOVIE GOLD!!!

'Godzilla - final wars': (I know its not obscure at all... and its not really a B movie, but it pains me to think there might be people out there who havent seen this yet!) Its a B movie with an A movie budget. Will appeal to 'snakes on a plane' fans. Its the last Godzilla and Godzilla fights everything...oh and there are mutant humans with special powers...and aliens...

'Santa Claus Conquers The Martians': No...its a real movie! "But it sounds too good to be true!," you cry. Well sadly the titles the best part of the movie and its also cruely inaccurate and santa claus does not infact conquer the martians...he gets kidnapped. Its still 50's B-movie gold in my book (just get drunk or something before you watch it).

Well that was a bit long, I got carried away. Forgive me.
