The Magic Roundabout

The Magic Roundabout was a French children's show about an assortment of animals, a girl and a bouncing spring called Zebedee. BOIIIING!
Eric Thompson from the BBC had the task of adapting the show for the UK and added his own wonderful style to whatever the hell was going on in the episode. Thus, Britain's kids were treated to something approaching an LSD trip!
There was also a film, Dougal and the Blue Cat. I'd love to get hold of this, since I have vague memories of it.

In the 90s, Nigel Planer narrated for the episodes that weren't originally aired.
Apparently, there was a movie version with Kylie Minogue in 2005. I'd be intrgued to find it.

There's a website dedicated to the show, too: http://magicroundabout.com/

Under the cut is a sample of what kids of the 70s enjoyed:
