Fandom Fortnight
Ages back, before the spotlighting, I was talking about having a 'fandom fortnight' sometime. This would be a fortnight (two weeks, for those who aren't used to that word) where we all decide to ... well. Be fannish. We'd go onto lj comms we haven't talked in for a while and make an effort to have conversation there. We'd try and finish those fanfics we've been wanting to finish. We'd have competitions and prompts and so on. We'd try and draw other people into it too. Announce it on various fansites/ forums and hold events for the fortnight. We'd do link swaps between forums/comms etc.
Would anyone be up for that for the next two weeks? You don't have to do it *constantly* or something, but just make an effort to spread the fandom love, or go to various fandoms and make an effort with helping them out. I'd like to hold it four times a year, probably.
I really need to do something like this right now. I can do it by myself if no one else is interested, but I'd *love* to have some people join me. Any questions or suggestions are welcome. I'm suggesting that we 'start' on Monday for the inaugural Fandom Fortnight!
