alright. so there was a book i read back in middle school that i used to use for all my book reports. it was kind of like 'a child called it'. not really. it was called 'they cage the animals at night'. it's about this little 6 year old boy whose mom is really sick. he's got about 4 brothers and they all live in this little apartment. one day she ( Read more... )

If you go out in the woods today
You're sure of a big surprise
If you go out in the woods today
You'd better go in disguise

For every bear that ever there was
Will gather there for certain, cuz
Today's the day the teddy bears have a picnic

Picnic time for teddy bears
something something something

If you go out in the woods today
You'd better not go alone
It's lovely out in the woods today
But safer to stay at home

For every bear that ever there was
Will gather there for certain, cuz
Today's the day the teddy bears have their picnic!

IGBY GOES DOWN! That is a film of endless great one-liners.

"Anne Frank. Anne Frank. The soldiers are gone. Come out and play."

first of all, i wasn't asking what a certain movie was that i couldn't figure out. i know the names of all of these movies. second, i only was reminiscing about the teddy bears picnic song. all the rest of this stuff were books and movies that i like that no one has heard of and i was looking for fans of these things. what the hell do you want me to post about if i cant post about things no one has heard of? what is your problem here?

Because they were childhood memories. When I skimmed it, it sounded like you weren't still a fan of it, nor were recommending it or were starting a conversation about it. This isn't a nostalgia community as such. It's a fan community. If you do still like them, then I apologise. It didn't read like that to me, which is why I suggested the other comms.

'that girl' was simply trying to remind you of the community guidelines and rules. It's still a 'list' post because it contains a whole lot of stuff.
This is why backntheday was created.
It's not like I'm deliberately trying to piss you off here or something, I'm trying to explain what the community is for.

two of these things are from my childhood. a random thought about the teddybear picnic thing, and don't tell mom the babysitters dead. all the rest are things i enjoyed in the past few years, that i couldn't talk about with anyone else because they'd never heard of them. i explained why i liked these books and movies and why people should see them. which is what you told me to do in my last post. it is not a list. it is a bunch of paragraphs put together that each explain one thing. i was recommending all of these things, otherwise i wouldn't be here writing about them. i didn't know i had to say, for every single one, i recommend this ( ... )

I LOVE "Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead"!!!
I remember watching it and being determined not to like it--but it inspired countless daydreams of looking through the classified ads and finding some awesome fashion job WITHOUT any experience!

And...I ♥ Thumbsucker! Such a sweet movie...Keanu was the trippiest dentist EVER!
