I just got a free coffee from PJ's because I said hi to the guy because Anne introduced us last time we were here, and he couldn't remember my name. So he gave it to me for free. Simple things like that can just make my day. Especially considering my less than perfect morning.
It's pouring when I have to go to work so I get all uncomfortably wet. And then my air conditioning breaks on the way, causing all of the glass in the car to fog up completely so I have to roll down my window and stick my head out in the rain to see where I'm going, and even then I go down two one-way streets in the wrong direction. And then when I finally get going in the correct direction, this big delivery truck just stops in the middle of the street and parks, and then goes on to take about eight minutes unloading shit. So I just had to sit there until finally I got a chance to reverse.
And then I get to work and remember that the first half hour of my job is manual labor, which is pretty much just me, a little girl, carrying out 4 heavy tables and 12 heavy chairs outside. It doesn't sound as painful as it really is. Plus, we have to wear our fucking blazers the entire time and it's like 90 degrees outside. Ughh, just thinking about the amount of sweat trapped in betweent hat jacket and my body is sickening.
Oh! Ponte Vedra was fun. Went by much quicker than my last Florida trip. The best part by far was discovering that my favorite new dress from On the Other Hand is basically photographed in this month's Elle. Oscar de la Renta, for $2,900. And I got a prettier version for $25. I fucking love fashion magazines. My bathroom walls at home are plastered with the pretty ads and I kind of miss it.
And then on the way to PJ's just now, my dashboard lights stopped working so I have no idea how slow I'm going. Or the temperature outside. I don't know how I'm supposed to function without knowing the exact degree.
Last thing I swear...sudoku is crack cocaine.
