Baby Quilt Craziness!

So I've got a sewing bug again.  Sebastian and I's good friend Uli is having her first baby in about 2 weeks so I decided I wanted to make her a baby quilt.  I also had never made a baby quilt for a girl, so I wanted to make one of those. While I waited for Uli to tell me what she was actually having I started on the girl quilt, I figured I have a 50/50 shot of them being the same.  I love shopping for fabric and putting the top together.  Eventually Uli got back with me, she wants autumn colors and is having a boy (it's a secret though, so I'm not putting anything on Facebook till after he's born, so mutual friends don't find out what she's having).  I unfortunately had a lot more problems with her quilt this morning, but I'm getting used to not having anything be perfect now.  I'll try to get the backs of both quilts together this week.  The baby girl quilt will now be given to our house-mate's niece, as she was born within the last month.  Here's some picture evidence.  Of the two I love the center fabric of the girl quilt, but love the brightness of the colors of the boy quilt.
