More DIY wedding fun!

OK, I sat at home watching HGTV all day and felt all DIY inspired.

I had previously decided to steal another user's Cardbox idea.

So today I hit HobbyLobby, originally just to purchase 2-3 boxes to use as my Cardbox. My wedding is small (<90) so I think I can use 2 only. Anyways, I couldn't find any boxes even close to my color scheme. So instead of buying I decided to test one as a DIY. I got paper from the scrapbook section that coordinated with my fall color scheme (heavy on burgundy, orange, and brown) and took it home to play with glue and scissors. I'm actually super-super pleased with how it came out. I will have to borrow a friends glue-gun to finish the border where my paper didn't meet exactly with the braided border I bought. Overall I'm so pleased with how it turned out and I feel like I can tackle a round base. =-)

Heart shaped box $3.50, 2 sheets of scrapbook paper $.50, braided border $.64, and then I had to buy glue and a paintbrush so another $2.00

I absolutely feel that I can go get a large round box for a base and a few more sheets of scrapbook paper that co-ordinate, then it's just ribbons and cutting the card hole to complete the project. First step complete.

I also got some black sand (I need a funnel) then I can do a trial run of the sand ceremony too. It's been a good lazy Saturday by my vote.
