The killer class

I went to the class last night and it totally kicked my behind. It was way better than getting a trainer and it was filled with other women of various shapes and abilities. There were a few hardcore athletes but there were also a few heavier people and a few senior citizens. The leader tries to get you to work harder, but she is by no means nazi-ish. It ran a little long, about 1 hr 20min, but I was told by other women in the class that it is normally kept to an hour. We did everything, including:
Sprints
Lunges
Various ab work including the dreaded plank
Arms with weights
Arms with resistance bands
Treadmill sprints
Biking on machines
Push ups
Pull downs
Stretches.

We never spent more than a few minutes on each routine so it was by no means boring. I worked myself a little too hard and spent the rest of the night thinking I was going to vomit.

I think if I take the class twice a week and do an hour of cardio 3-4 days a week along with being careful about my diet, I might actually be able to drop a few sizes. I am definitely sore today but not to the point where I am miserable. It’s a good kind of sore. But seriously, at one point halfway through the class when we were told to sprint a (short) lap then do lunges back, I honestly had to slow to a crawl because I felt like my quads were going to give out. I might get a trainer after this month if I really feel like I need an extra boost. I cannot lose too much weight though, or else I will have to buy a new wedding dress! You can only take in a beaded bodice so much so much!

I was good food wise too, though I still need to work on getting in more fruits and veggies. Today I did eat a cookie, but I was good about it. I ate a few bites when my boss gave it to me, then I wrapped it up and ate the rest after lunch, when I knew I would want it the most. I am about to brush my teeth too so I won’t eat the rest of the cookies sitting in the break room. I also did 20 of my 60 minutes of cardio for the day. After work I will do 30 on the bike and 10 on the treadmill. I did 20 minutes on the elliptical during my lunch. I will do this. I feel strongly about it.
