I did well yesterday up until dinner, so we will start with the good first.

The Good: I worked out a full hour yesterday, which required me to split it into a 20 minute lunch shift and a 40 minute shift after work. I even packed up my stuff and drove from the opposite hospital campus in order to do the second shift. I also talked to the gym about getting a personal trainer. Because they recently got a huge membership drive, they didn’t have anything available during my open times until February. However, she gave me an option that might work better. Apparently there is a twice a week circuit training class that is free with my membership. She said that the class would do the same things a trainer would do, just in a group setting. I hesitated because I have had really bad experience with classes but she said there is a wide range of abilities, fitness levels and ages and you can tailor the class to suit your ability level. She said there are usually less than 10 people per class. So, I think I am going to start going to that twice a week. Then, come Feb, when it dies down, I might get a trainer once a week instead of twice of week which will really help me save money. I hate classes, but since it’s through work and it’s mostly co-workers and not skinny college students, I have a good feeling about this. Plus, free is a very important word when you are planning a wedding.

The Bad: While I was good with my food during the day, it all went up in smoke at dinner. It’s a long story, but we ended up going to an Indian restaurant with a friend, who also happened to be a good friend of the owner. So of course, we were treated like royalty. The group I went with was big eaters, so of course there was tons of food. I had a huge piece of garlic naan, a veggie samosa, a bite of tandoori paneer, a bite of some sort of fried paneer, lots of chutney, a glass of red wine, Lamb Sheesh Kabobs as my entrée and a bite of Brett’s Lamb Swagala. Oh it was so good, but I felt so bad. I really don’t know what is the healthiest thing to order, but I know the Naan was a bad idea. I tried to stay away from the creamy dishes so I thought the tandoori lamb was better, but I should have had tandoori chicken instead. Oh, and I am mad about the wine too. Stupid me. Oh, and pink lemonade. I should have had water, but that just doesn’t cool my tounge. I didn’t want to have diet coke or else k being up all night.

So yeah, I wasn’t that good.

However, today, I have been pretty good. I worked out during lunch for 20 minutes and plan to drive back to the gym after

Here’s to a better weekend!
