(no subject)

So far today I have eaten a lot but the majority of it has been veggies. I’ve already had 5 servings of fruits and veggies today but I am starting to regret the handful of light popcorn and the mini box of hot tamales. I’m also on my 4th bottle of water which is 1.5 more than I normally have at work. I am terribly bored so I am trying not to eat everything that gets put in my path.

Sigh, I really wish I had time to get up with the weight loss communities on LJ at work. Our internet is restricted and monitored and I am sure that if someone cared to look at what I do, I would be in big trouble. Luckily, my bosses don’t care that much, but I need to limit how long I am on. Still, back in the day when I wasn’t restricted from anything, it was so helpful to be inspired and get ideas from those communities. I found that when I surround myself with like-minded thinking people I get better results.

I really want to be a size 12 again. Fitting into those jeans for the first time was amazing. There is such a thrill from knowing that you can actually find clothes that fit and look stylish from more stores than one. I felt giddy when people told me I looked good and I prided myself on announcing that I was another X number of lbs down. While I am not completely where I was back in March 05, I’m only 18 lbs away. I gained 34.5 lbs in 1 year and half, much of it being in the last year.

I do not want to do that any more. I want to be a normal size. And I WILL DO THIS!!!!!!!!

My life has changed a lot since March 05 when I first made the change. Back then I was single, had very few friends and lots of free time to work out and cook. That’s not the case now. I am getting married and spend the majority of my time with a guy who can eat 2000 a meal and not gain a lb. I have friends and engagements that keep my out a few nights a week and usually those all involve dinner. I work a schedule that doesn’t allow me to go to the gym in the morning any more.

In order to combat this I have done/will do the following things.
1) I make working out a priority. If a dinner/event cannot start after 6, I don’t go (except for in a few occasions).
2) Brett and I are working on finding meals that we can both eat, and he is keeping his bad for you food out of site.
3) In January I am getting a trainer so I can do proper weight lifting.
4) I will be joining the Y by our house (Brett gets a good rate via work), so I can go to the gym on the weekends without having to drive 25 miles to my work gym. I’ll have two gym memberships! I better lose weight then!

So, that’s my inspirational post for me for the day This time is for real and the first 3.5 I have lost prove it!
