-2 Woohoo!

I lost another 2 lbs this week putting me at 204.5. That means I’ve lost 3.5 since Thanksgiving! No small feat considering all the food that is around me.

I’ve made some good compromises this week with doing a 60-70 minute workout each day and stocking up on healthy snacks I could leave in the office including 100 cal popcorn and frozen blueberries which I immediately doled out into small containers for snacking.

I also discovered my new favorite (and somewhat healthy) comfort drink. Silk Mocha Soy Milk, heated for about 2 minuets. Mnnnn. Usually around 3PM I get a serious chocolate craving that I quell by digging into someone’s candy jar. The soy milk is lower in calories and provides me with more nutrients than candy would. I brought a pint to work and I am sure I will go through it in the week. However, I think next time I will get it in chocolate (they only had huge sizes at Publix) so I won’t have the coffee in it. Yay for somewhat healthy alternatives!!!

I’ve gone out for 3 meals since Sunday and I think I made some good choices. On Sunday I got the Portobello sandwich and black beans instead of the burger and fried. On Tuesday when we went out for Mexican I got veggie fajitas and did not eat the rice, tortillas and tired to limit the sour cream and chips. Last night when we went to the Scottish Pub with Jenna I stuck to water and a salad with greens, nuts and blue cheese. However, I did partake in the cheese tray as an appetizer so I didn’t eat half the blue cheese that came on my salad. I really couldn’t help myself with the cheese tray. I just LOVE cheese.

I think part of the help is also all the rules I set up for myself. I realized last night there is kind of a lot so I thought I would jot them down:

1) Only 3 glasses of alcohol per week…with a fourth if I work out 45 minutes on Saturday or Sunday
2) One cup of coffee per week at work, unless it was a long night, like tonight.
3) Taco salad only once a month at work.
4) Mandatory 4 days of at least 60 minute workouts a week.

Ok, so it’s not as many as I thought, but it’s still a good bit.

Ok, now for my rewards. While I know that I will reach my goal weight, I am thinking on the small scale as to not drive my self crazy. So, for my first 15 lbs it goes as follows

203-pedicure
198-30 min massage
193-New outfit

Sigh, I wish I could read my friends list at work. I could use the support and I really want to know what y’all are up too!
